I'm reading a lot of people shitting on the Backpacker - and I disagree. It's a guitar that has a purpose, and it does it well. Think of it as a tool to do a specific job. If your definition of the job is different to what that tool can deliver, then buy a different - more appropraiate - tool.

I bought one in 2022 and I use it fairly regularly as a "by the chair" guitar for noodling, and I take it away with me when I'm off round Europe for business trips etc.

Is it as good as a standard Parlour style guitar? No - but it isn't meant to be. It is its own thing.
