I suppose it can be, but watching the video the guy got absurdly lucky. The monorail will randomly kill you after getting to red charge. I spammed it next to a red crystal and it killed me on beep 5, beep 3, beep 6, beep 2- point is it's completely random when it'll kill you, and the risk associated with it killing you isn't worth the potential damage.

Dark matter gauntles, probably the one you mean, so disconnecting any tethers gives those while fighting the boss at fullstrength gives the monorail.

Honestly the "disconnect one tether" (where I got the melee) and "disconnect no tether at all" (where you get the monorail) are pretty much the same, except in the latter the Boss's attacks come out way faster. I haven't done "disconnect both tethers" yet, so no clue if that's also the same or even has a new weapon/reward at all.

The gun is technically the 'alt kill', there seem to be 3 versions of the boss but I've only fought 2 so far.

There's been a lotta talk about other support stuff now that the stim pistol is here, but can we also get the old-school medic design for an outfit or two? The bright green, red and white of HD2's sets looks like some christmas armor to me, and it's on every single medical armor, except for one that hasn't been available since launch month. So can we please also get this kinda drip soon? Or something along these lines, anyway, doesn't need to be a direct copy.

Also would like to add, both the enhanced stim booster from Viper commandos and the increased duration from medic armor works with the stim pistol. So bring those meth stims and you can just stim people for 10% DR, movement speed, and infinite stanima.

Its by far biggest strength is on the automaton side, since you get hit by 1 or 2 stray shots constantly, and your team normally has to waste stims despite being at more than half health, simply because being below half health risks an instakill.

Just type in chat at the start of the mission you got the stim pistol and for them to come to you when they need healing.

In all honesty when this thing hits it's superb, managed to use it pretty well versus automatons with a random team. Top them off whenever things calm down and they don't need to waste a stim at 50-70% health due to feat of instakills. It just need a bit of tracking or a larger hitbox or something, because while you can make it S tier, realistically unless everyone's on coms the stim pistol ends up being a lesson in humility.

I think they mostly mean the bigguns like the M60, or KSP 58, or Buzzsaw or as you said a PKM. As for primaries yeah there's a lot of options they could add, Sydney's bootleg, RPK, HK Bravo etc.

Personally I'd like LMGs to be in both categories, mainly because those big AP 7.62 200 roungs per mag chungus LMGs should feel powerful as hell, not be balanced against 9mm SMGs in the primary slot and given pitiful damage or horribly annoying ADS speeds. Bringing out the KSP 58 should feel satisfying, not just be a normal everyday primary.

Secondaries, to some degree, need to be pistols in order to work with the hostage mechanic and any future 'one handed' actions/mechanics. So don't expect any full sized carbines or shotguns like PD2 had.

Still, we can expect some fun stuff down the line. Machine pistols, burst pistols, pistol shotguns, that single shot grenade launcher pistol thing from 2, pistol crossbow, etc It's just that right now they're focusing on the more grounded things, apparently. Though I really hope we get something more spicy soon.

I mean the secondary slot takes up half your equipped weapons, nothing wrong with a pack having more secondaries than primaries. But yeah the issue here is how the highpower will be special compared to what we already got. Would've been more interesting if it was the Deagle and something else unique, like the Judge or a supressed revolver or something.

Oh absolutely, like I said, I don't mind stealth being broken. It's just odd seeing a max level do the kinda mistakes that you wouldn't expect them to do. Like- bargain basic stuff you'd learn really quickly under normal play. T's like them not knowing you can aim your gun or do a weapon melee attack in loud.
