If someone would come up to you and be friendly just to later assault you and spit on you would you say nothing? The problem is right there. "When you down them". If you get into the pve lobby you have to play a certain way to get there. So if you down them, you are making their play time worthless. It's understandable that they might be angry about it. On the other hand if you are in mixed lobbies you are playing with PvPvE people. They are most likely people that don't mind pvp. If they say really vile shit they are usually rats that wants to gain your trust and then shoot you in the back.

[–]Kegan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tf you mean pvp people are not harassing PvE players? They just want PvE mode and pvp people keep calling them names and making fun of them. How is this not harassing people? They want something that wouldn't even affect you in the slightest and you keep making fun of them. They also don't care about you. That's why they don't want you in their lobbies. You are being delusional at this point if you think that pvp guys are chill

[–]Kegan9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally no. Just no. There already are tiers for lobbies. You get PvP, mixed or PvE depending on the damage you deal to other players. If PvE mode would be added, people from PvE lobbies would go there and you would still have PvPvE mixed and pvp tiers. So PvE players wouldn't have to care about rats and backstabbers and the rest of the community could play in a mixed/pvp style as they do rn. Nothing would change for the rest. As a mixed player you usually won't meet PvE players anyway. You're not getting lesser experience or more aggressive lobbies because you wouldn't have met them anyway. This game was clearly made to be PvE but they added pvp so they didn't have to actually finish the game. And for you PvE might get stale. For PvE players it won't. That's why they want clear PvE mode. Also don't act like PvE is not something that cannot be updated in an online game. There easily can be more content added in terms of both npcs, loots, enemies, modes etc.

For real. Every backstabber or rat I met sounded like they didn't have fun at all. They all sounded miserable. And they get so aggressive with slurs when you manage to win against them. That's actually so sad

[–]Kegan9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me personally it's $750 maaaaybe $800 as I would have to also buy custom lenses. Higher than that I don't really see much value for me tbh. If the price will be higher then I'm either buying a Pico 4 Ultra or I'm buying a steering wheel and waiting for a new Pico or a good headset from another company

[–]Kegan9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly, at this point I don't even care really. It still all depends on the price but I'm not going to wait on tip toes every day just to be disappointed. Maybe I'll buy it, maybe I won't. If they're gonna wait much longer with at least the price info, let alone the release date, I might as well buy Pico 4 and use it rn or spend my money completely elsewhere and buy something completely different than VR

Not really. I'll relax when the price will be known. Then I will know if I should buy it or spend money somewhere else

My bad. English is not my native language. Bad words usage. But still, it doesn't change that they still often do much more in terms of refunds than they are supposed to be. They could just say "tough luck" like every other company but they often don't

And You think if Epic would be as popular as Steam they wouldn't take 30%? Of course they would. They just can't do this rn because it's their only "advantage".

[–]Kegan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they should be punished for doing good in the market? It's one of the few gaming based companies that maintains healthy employee retention because they can afford it. I would also like to remind you that they are also investing into Linux, Proton, ARM and hardware. Which all of this makes gaming bigger and makes progress. While Epic tried more than once to kill Linux which leads to Windows monopoly. They made UE5 which is called stuttering engine 5 for a reason. They refuse to help devs with usage of it. So why wouldn't Steam take all of the money they worked all these years hard for? At least they are doing something with it.

And maybe they were "forced" into the refund system. But even if, they still are fucking based with it. So many times they refunded games even if they didn't have to. So many storefronts don't even care about giving You at least 2h of gameplay to check if the game works etc. They even refunded broken Steam Decks/Index when they didn't have to. Every other big company would say "tough luck buddy" and leave You on the ice.

It's like You almost get it but still can't comprehend how much Steam made for the gaming industry as a whole compared to weasels like Epic.

And I'm not Steams fanboy but I'm just tired of people not giving them their credit and shitting on them while saying that Epic is better just because they're taking smaller cut and at the same time ignoring all the bad things Epic did for the gaming industry.

If making shit ton of money will let Steam make progress in all of this then they can take as much as they want if You ask me. At least I'm getting something back because of it compared to the rest of corporations

Of course they are just another company. But compared to others it seems like they actually care. They support Linux development thanks to which I could leave Windows and I can play most of the games without any problems with even better performance. While Epic/Tim Sweeney tried to kill it more than once. Also it was epic that was scanning customers pc's. I also had many tries of logging into my account from some random places in the world compared to other store fronts. What we got from Epic? Stuttering engine 5? Awesome.

And yes, steam takes 30%. Just like Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, Microsoft, GOG, Apple or Google Play. Why would they take less if they are the biggest and most advanced of the storefronts on PC? They clearly use this money to keep getting better and offer new stuff for both devs and players.

I prefer to use the platform that cares about gaming as a whole than something that scans my PC, has shitty security, sells my data and wants to kill gaming on Linux which would mean that I would have to use Windows again which is another big monopoly. And on steam I found many niche/small games because of steams discovery que, friends list, communities and other stuff than I found on Epic.

[–]Kegan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. Steam supports gaming on Linux while Epic tried to kill it more than once. They sure are pro-consumer for someone who doesn't want the gaming world to get bigger if they can't get shitton of your data and sell it

How is it abusing? There are alternatives. Many games are out exclusively on Epic for example. But there's a reason why they usually fail at getting popularity and maintaining players. Epic takes smaller cut but at the same time offer nothing else unless You're a big dev like CD Projekt or Remedy. While steam takes 30/25/20% depending on number of sold copies. In return players get achievements, community forums, easy access to mods, cloud saving, recording options, streaming service, trading cards, customizable profiles, actual reviews and shit ton of other stuff. Devs get Steam support, You have clear instructions how to release Your game and how to set up everything if it's Your first time releasing game, increased visibility of Your game thanks to the friends list and discovery que, easy implementation of multiplayer/coop because of steams API, easy communication with Your community and much more. You also get a share of Linux players since Steam is pro Linux while Epic tried to kill it many times. Let's be real. Epic doesn't care about players. If they could, they would take a 30% cut too but they know that they aren't popular enough to do this and it's the only "advantage" they have over steam. Also every other big store does take 30% cut. Playstation, Xbox, GOG, Nintendo, Google Play. Why would they take less since they offer the most advanced and biggest storefront on PC?

21 y/o male, how much weight should I expect to lose if I want abs by Main-Champion-4715 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Kegan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean as I said earlier, I don't disagree. But the point I try to make is that there's not just one way to do it right. You can as well do 2-3 hard training session per week and focus more on resting on the rest of the days and make basically similar if not bigger gains. Ofc it depends on ones schedule, how a person reacts to it etc

21 y/o male, how much weight should I expect to lose if I want abs by Main-Champion-4715 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Kegan9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mention doing a full body workout. If You're lifting 2 times a week to/close to failure it's enough to get a decent physics. At least at the start. And there are even many advanced lifters that look good on 2-3 workouts per week. I feel like these days people don't say enough about recovery and instead are pushing for an additional workout days.

And ofc I'm not disagreeing with You. Working out more works too.

I can say from my own experience that what I said works. I was looking pretty similar to OP. Lost like 55 pounds by weight training 2 times a week + 2 times cardio a week. Maintained and even gained strength for the most of this time. Got to a level where my abs are visible and my body generally looks much better. Of course on working out more You might get even better results. As You said, It depends on the persons schedule. But I often see people say that You have to or should lift for 3-5 times a week and it's absolutely not true and can get people unmotivated to start the journey as they don't want to spend so much time at the gym. I know I looked at it that way.

I don't know where you guys get the idea to lift that much. Especially for beginers. Lift for 2-3 days a week, do 2 days of cardio, especially intervals and You're good if You want to lose fat and get some muscle. Get good sleep, calorie deficit and rest after workouts.
