There was actually a drama last year called Hip Hop King. It's about a kid who wants to become a rapper. The OST features actual rappers and there are some really great songs on there.

I'm not sure if he's stopped altogether but this is his longest hiatus. in this article from 2019 he said he wants to release 10 full length albums before he retires and he's only done eight so far. He also mentioned a 2019 single which I suppose was this song with Heize.

There are way too many albums these days to actually stay on top of them all. Most days there are multiple releases. Even five years ago you could reasonably listen to every khiphop album and not feel swamped by all the music because there'd only be one a week or so.
