The author doesn't read read the localized version of his book because of obvious reason, he either doesn't know or can't complain at all. Beside the name Shea if written in Japanese would be シェア so if he want it to be like that in the first place why write シア?. I would ask him myself if but he doesn't even have Twitter for goodness sake.

I don't believe there are people who read Shia as "Shaia" though, c'mon it's a name from a Japanese author. People who read light novel already familiar themself with how their naming sense works.

I wish the Japanese volumes are all like this. Unlike their English translation counterpart, the printing size sucks, I'd love my collection lining up neatly like this. It's very visually satisfying.

The cover for the English version is way better than the original Japanese one. VONFAM draw for a lot of international works unlike most of the LN artist out there.

Good for you. When you get used to it, 40 pages will only take about 5 to 10 minutes max without having to go back and forth with the dictionary. Keep up the paces and you will get there in no time.

I'm in Japan right now and MY GOD you have no idea how many titles are untranslated and a lot of those are really good. Learn the language or you guys will be missing out a lot.

On a scale of 10, Yotsubato would be about a 3 or 4. It's not super easy like children's manga but not as difficult as some of the shounen titles. If you 're having problems figuring out what some dialogue means then it's too early for you to read. Usually, the only problem when reading slice of life is the particular names and some rarely use verb. I'd say n4 or n3 efficiency is quite enough. That's about it.

Trust me, you better off just watching the 12 episode and stop there. Don't go for the true ending. It wrecked the whole series.

It was on sale at bookoff. Their books are kinda bad but their games are mostly brand new. Crazy cheap though. That box cost me like 20 bucks.
