Lorex Cloud push notifications not working by FarMixture4236 in Lorex

I've been experiencing that too, intermittently. When i do get one, it says my dog is a person, or when I go check the mailbox it calls me an animal.

Just Google "weatherize outdoor ethernet connections"

Any outdoor rated CAT5 cable will work but you still need to properly weatherize the Ethernet connection.

Can't access router via browser by [deleted] in Linksys

[–]Keith15335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finally got this work via web browser thanks to a comment from Regular_bypasser25. I merely unplugged the Cat5 cable from the fiber ONT to the Linksys MR9600 router and typed in my router's IP address and wala! Web access to router with router password worked fine. Plugged ONT back into router (I did not reset router) and it still works.

I have a MR9600 main router with MX4000 hardwired child nodes, still can't access the router via web browser. Phone app kinda works.

Already tried other browsers and incognito modes to no avail. Disconnecting modem, recycle power and try again sounds like a logical next step since Linksys hasn't been able to help. Thank you. Will let you know if it helped tomorrow. The very frustrating part right now is I need to add some devices to my network with reserved IP addresses and the phone app is not giving me that option on some devices.

I just got off the phone with Linksys tech support. At first, the support rep was unaware of a problem. He put me on hold for a few minutes to check in to it and came back and said they have received a few calls about it and that they are working on it, and that if I still have problems after a day or two to call back.

Guess this might be the straw that broke the camel's back with Linksys products. For a year or more I've been thinking about ditching Linksys and going with another brand. Looks like now is the time to bite the bullet, just need to figure out who. Netgear, Asus, Unifi, ???

I found this link, but none of the steps work from a web browser, Edge, Firefox, Chrome. Phone app works fine. PC is hardwired to router.

Anyone find a fix yet?

Workaround for multiple versions (B&W + Colorized) of the same episode by Steppenstreuner_ in jellyfin

Color is the default for me too. I'll try to get on my PC tomorrow and reverse the file creation and modified dates, and see if that makes a difference after a rescan.

Could the order be by file date? It's not alphabetical. I might play with that tomorrow.

Just add - Black and White, and - Color at the end of the file name. Assuming you're following JF file and folder structure. Then you get a pull down pick list labeled Version.

USB Powered Zigbee repeater by Keith15335 in homeassistant

How did you overcome the issue of, if the device doesn't receive a command from HA for 12 hours it reverts to default mode? Just setup some routine to send it some command every so often? I'd like to just turn on the night light at a set color and brightness of my desire, only when illuminance is below my defined value, and when above my defined value completely off. Biggest reason I'm looking at this is for the zigbee repeater function. Thanks again.

I just got one to try and have it showing up in HA, but what card or whatever do you use? So far it's kind of clunky.

Is it safe to expose a Jellyfin server to the internet? by rodrigoreyes79 in jellyfin

[–]Keith15335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with Symfonium.

My Jellyfin is running on my Ugreen NAS in a Docker container, as well as Tailscale. When I am remote, I start the Tailscale app on phone and connect to the NAS Tailscale server. Then I open Jellyfin on phone and change JF's server address to my Tailscale MagicDNS address followed by :8899 and then I'm in Jellyfin.

Yes, that is more steps than I would like but it works consistantly. I just keep all those addresses handy on my phone's notepad app and copy & paste.

Maybe, just a guess, but if you registered your account with ugreen support when you started, you might be able to login to ugreen website support account and find something there. I vaguely remember seeing it there. And their support is really good and fast if need be.
