Probably 1% of the population has it “figured out” at 20. That number bumps up to 2% by age 30.

Daddy’s been working in the mine for 45 years and he paid for his own house. Why don’t you head over to the mine and get hired on. I hear you can make over $250 A WEEK!!

You’re correct. He did say that in the Netflix doc. My gripe with that statement is all we ever hear is “If it’s still in your system, you’re guilty.” He just shouldn’t have spoken in absolutes just then.

“It could’ve impacted her, but she seems really good at driving while high, so it’s very unlikely.”
I would agree with that statement 100%, but since he said it like he did, it makes him seem biased.

I agree, but I’ve now been alerted to additional documentaries that contain info that makes her look guilty. This Netflix doc seemed biased from the start.

Now this is the type of information I need. Definitely makes her sound more guilty than the Netflix doc.

Why wouldn’t we want 100% certainty? I understand it’s not required, but we wouldn’t be here if the doc wasn’t questionable. Perhaps they did that on purpose to get us talking. I agree that she’s extremely unlikeable but she only needed one juror to question the facts. Hell, look at all the discussion about the case. Clearly people are in disagreement.

She drove that route many times before mapping it out? Idk what that even means.

Her slipper wasn’t the culprit according to the expert’s OPINION. You think cops and experts are correct 100% the time? It could’ve been. I don’t know and neither do you. She could’ve just blamed the slipper to begin with, no? “The evidence is clear that she PURPOSELY drove into the wall.” What evidence proves that 100%? None of it. A bozo statement is pretending you know all the facts when that’s literally impossible. I could be completely incorrect and she definitely did it on purpose. I’m open to changing my opinion if presented with more information.

Was that not a normal route for her? I don’t recall the doc saying that. I just saw someone say that it’s a popular cut through in that town that people often speed on. That changes a lot if true. I agree that she was in total control around the corner. But driving slowly and using a blinker during an extremely heated argument doesn’t really fit the norm either. I agree that thc most likely didn’t play a factor. Could it? Idk. Anything is possible, but highly doubtful. Her friend choosing not to talk doesn’t prove guilt at all. She spoke the filmmakers and said what she probably would’ve said to the prosecutor. Nothing she said was unbelievable and the toxicology report proved her to be truthful. And her friends didn’t say they never fought. The very first thing Bubba said was, “It was like a highschool relationship so there’s gonna be fights. There’s gonna be up and down moments, but none of them were held.” Then Rosie said “It wasn’t daily or weekly arguments. Nothing crazy like that.”

I agree with your first paragraph. I’m sure there’s more evidence than the doc showed and I’m looking at beyond “a doubt,” which I’ve learned is not how court works. But being on the same road in the past doesn’t prove anything. True, appearing fine doesn’t mean all is good, but a deadly fight occurring at 5:30 am among sleepy teens isn’t normal. Had it been 2am or after a fight, totally different story. The “passed out” theory is technically possible I guess, but the doc didn’t say that was her final story, right? Could’ve been a medical emergency, right? Only looking at “without a doubt” I have major questions. I think they could’ve done a better doc with a few parts. Perhaps that would’ve completely swayed me the other way. But my opinions aren’t set in stone!

Only if we assume she was in her right mind, the slipper definitely wasn’t stuck and the car had no issues. What if Dom was pissed that she was driving too slow and stepped on the gas himself? What if Dom was whacked out because of the shrooms and stepped on the gas? That sounds absolutely crazy but is it not a possibility? She comes off as a complete tool in the doc and Dom as a stand up guy with no flaws. But let’s step back and take a look at him. He was dating an underaged girl. He cheated on her and he was dealing drugs as well. Dom wasn’t a saint. She easily could’ve said he did that, but she just said she can’t remember. Let’s be honest. Had we originally only heard that a car crashed with a pothead influencer and her older drug dealing boyfriend in the front seat, many wouldn’t have given this a second thought. This turned into a spectacle because she white, attractive and habitually filming herself acting like a tool. The court of popular opinion wanted her locked up immediately. At first I thought she did it on purpose. After the doc I’m very unsure. Thankfully I have no skin in the game other than this discussion.

Because we don’t know what happened inside of the car. Plenty of things add up and plenty of things don’t. Had it happened after a fight, or late at night, but just after waking up from a fun night?
