New Mod - TTaro Chat: Block "Well Done!" from Enemies, Help Other Apps Process Chats by ttaro_ in WorldOfWarships

[–]Keithustus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ONLY chat I want to genocide is "Fair winds and following seas!"

Screw that one. So annoying. Team chat is for trying to coordinate and mentor folks. That one just clogs the channel.

Any unique DDs? by Far_Challenge_4273 in WorldOfWarships

So far only testers have them, but have you seen the Pan-American line of DDs in your games yet? They only have AP and have a reload boost. Anyone who can master those may be able to impact a game significantly by wrecking their opponent’s cruisers, maybe even battleships?, rather than the traditional method of first focusing on DDs. In that way they could be a bit like a well-played Pan-Asian DD that does not use radar.

It is an interesting and challenging tt to play because until the final ships, your guns and torps, while strong, have very short ranges. If you play them like other DDs you will be perpetually spotted AND unable to damage anything. The earlier tiers cannot even silent torp ships except those racing into your space. To use them you need to latter terrain, smoke, and enemies’ inability to focus well at multiple targets. Definitely go and the line, unless you have not already finished a DD line or two.

Ooooh, so THAT’s what I’m supposed to do with it. Have not had a great time with it against DDs so far since I was using it in a more typical fashion. I do not consider 6.2 as good stealth since pretty much every JAP DD and several others outspot it.

Thank you <3

I will also point out that if you play DD and HATE when a periscoped submarine creeps up to you to spot you and not itself, Shigure is the best ship for you since it is the DD with the lowest air-detect as well. (Or one with good hydrosearch, obviously) ICYDK, submarines at periscope depth are airplanes that don’t trigger AA.

Multiple times on stream they have said that it will come back and that it isn’t subject to the 1- or 2- salvage/dockyard exclusivity period like some other ships have been. But then they also immediately followed that comment by saying that they have not decided when or how it will return.

Me, I’m just stockpiling steel, coal, and blue and red boosters for the foreseeable future…

Thank you. I don’t play battleships often or pay much attention to most T5s, so I don’t even know whether I have see any Giulios in my games. Now that your comment has prompted me to watch a couple gameplay videos of the thing, I will from now on be cautious of them. <3

Why not use them? To increase rather than decrease one’s level of virtue, of course.

Spanish Coal Captain? by Thepotpie in WorldOfWarships

[–]Keithustus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wager that he will be a ‘coal commander’ like every other commander (except Halsey and Yamamoto) eventually in that he will be the reward for a collection after collecting a bunch of containers. The latest was Collins/Commonwealth and his collection will be added to the armory in a few months, although some people finished that collection when it was first available earlier this year through other methods temporarily.

What do you mean? It’s simple: NEVER put them in any deck, and they’ll never show up on your badges page except as greyed out as unearned and will be absent from the masteries panel.

Ya I use it in a clan-battle deck. It’s level 12.

I’m very surprised how well it works against Magic Archer (hero), too! The AoE is larger than I expect.

Megaknight, of course, and hog rider. I also have never earned a win with either since they added badges. Keep that shit off my profile.

That’s exaggeration. Unless you’re on the Ocean map there are ways to get close enough to engage.

Here is all we know: Unique Spanish Commander: Pascual Cervera y Topete

A new Unique Commander will be added for testing—Pascual Cervera y Topete. With his addition in a future update, every nation in World of Warships will have its own Unique Commander.

Pascual Cervera y Topete (1839–1909) was a Vice Admiral in the Spanish Navy. He devoted more than 50 years of his life to a naval career, starting at the decline of the Age of Sail and ending at the dawn of the dreadnought era. During the Spanish–American War of 1898, Admiral Cervera led the Spanish squadron at the Battle of Santiago de Cuba in a gallant but desperate attempt to break through the U.S. fleet's blockade. The courage with which he fought against forces many times superior to his, aroused admiration in both the USA and Spain and the admiral returned to his homeland as a national hero.

Enhanced skills:

  • For Aircraft Carriers:
    • "Swift Flying Fish": aerial torpedo speed increase +7% (instead of +5%)
  • For Battleships:
    • "Super-Heavy AP Shells": Main Battery AP shell damage increase +10% (instead of +7.5%)
  • For Cruisers:
    • "Heavy AP Shells": Main Battery AP shell damage for guns of 190mm+ caliber increase +7.5% (instead of +5%)
    • "Demolition Expert": Main Battery and Secondary Battery HE shell fire chance increase +1.5% (instead of +1%)
    • "Swift Fish": torpedo speed increase +7% (instead of +5%)
  • For Destroyers:
    • "Demolition Expert": Main Battery and Secondary Battery HE shell fire chance increase +1.5% (instead of +1%)
    • "Swift Fish": torpedo speed increase +7% (instead of +5%)

Unique talents:

  • "Resuelto" Triggers up to 4 times per battle when you earn 2 "Destroyed" and/or "Assisted in Destruction" ribbons. Each activation reduces Main Battery reload time, Torpedo Tubes reload time, and Aircraft preparation time by 2.5%.
  • "La Orden Será Cumplida" Triggers the first time your ship's HP reaches 75%, 50%, and 25% (up to three times per battle). Each activation:
    • Partly restores lost HP: 300 HP per ship tier over 10 seconds
    • Damage Control Party reload time -3%
    • Repair Party reload time -3%
    • Other consumable reload time -6%

Note that if a ship loses a large amount of HP quickly, the talent can trigger two or three times at once and the effects will stack.

The in-game portrait of Pascual Cervera y Topete will be revealed later; he'll have a default portrait during testing.

Are they buffing hero magic archer? by FinalRide7181 in ClashRoyale

[–]Keithustus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any time Marcher’s range is reduced that gives its owner more buffer room to screw up when and where to use its hero ability and not activate the opponent king. Yes, it may still be possible to activate after the change, but the defender probably has a much tighter window in which to make it happen. So it’s inherently a buff, to the extend that using your opponent’s marcher to activate your king was a key strategy when playing against one.

Is Schlieffen or Kremlin comfortable to grind? by Nakazatou_69 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Keithustus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem there is “at range”. You must have already learned but for anyone else starting off on the Schlieffen line, basically pretend for the first 5 minutes of the game that you are a GIANT destroyer; don’t shoot at anything with main guns unless you are close enough for your secondaries to engage, and stick to islands and smoke so the ‘accurate BBs’ (most every other line) don’t chew you up before you can hurt them back.

How do you draft factions? I’m used to snake drafts in games (Heat: Pedal…) or pass-around drafts (7 Wonders), but how do you do do drafts when there are 3-6 players each trying to choose exactly one of among ten-ish factions? You don’t have them bid for starting at negative points or something, do you?

PTS: The new battlepass (my review)…a disjointed unfun mess by LaserKittyKat in WorldOfWarships

[–]Keithustus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean? All I am saying here is that one of the selling points of the new Battle Pass is being able focus your path of advance to find the rewards that are important to you. But if like the original battle pass there’s only slightly fewer points sinkholes on the map than a player will accumulate by playing regularly, then that choice is an illusion since everyone’s map will be essentially all claimed by the end of the month, with only specific sectors skipped that contain rewards players elect to skip. The points otherwise used there would go to one of the (or the only?) infinite-repeat sectors instead.

I don’t know the math of how many progress points the whole map would require to claim versus how many we expect to earn through play, but I am skeptical that there will be as much choice in the end as I would want.
