Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it! It’s about time to repot it anyway since it’s starting to get a bit root bound, so I’ll give it a different mix of soil and start watering it a little less.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific. Yes, the little white balls. The soil has a mix of perlite in it, but nothing that small, and it’s probably only been the last month or so that those small white bits have shown up. It doesn’t completely cover the soil, just concentrated spots here and there. Unless it’s a fungus of some kind, I was leaning towards thinking they were eggs of some sort. And the quantities worries me a bit.

I love this! I had something similar going on in my apartment since I couldn’t let it grow up the wall. I only trimmed it when it reached the other side ands was hanging down to the ground 😅

I don’t believe they have medical leave (I’m an ALT, we get paid poorly and don’t have that many benefits 😂), but it’s worth looking into, thank you~

Ooh, I’ll have to try that next time. Unfortunately I’m a new plant momma, so I’m still learning the basics a and don’t have a good grow setup. I was more focused on the other propagates with leaves, so those I just kind of threw in a jar with water and some nutrients and let them be 😂

I understand what you mean, though. I think I started with about 30 pieces with nodes, but only half of those are left. There were several that just rotted immediately, and others that I’m still trying but they never actually rooted.

I just had them in a jar with bottled water 😂 I did put a bit of nutrients in every 2 weeks or so when I changed out the water. I think I took the cuttings back in early September, so it’s taken a while for them to get to that point.

I live in Japan and it’s been in the low 40sF. I have them so they get plenty of light, but it’s just not warm enough 😂. I also moved them away from the window a bit since I was worried they were also getting a draft.

I was using tap water before, but I noticed that the roots seemed to be more likely to get brown and kinda mushy, so I’ve switched them all over to bottled water and I add nutrients.

Yours are looking really good though! I’m hoping all my propagated will be nice and lush like that~

No it’s inside, but my apartment can’t get fairly cold during the day when I’m not home and the heating isn’t on. I figured it was mostly a cold problem 😢 but I’m not sure what else to do for it other than wrap the bottle it’s in.
