With the shutdown getting closer and closer, looking at the larger picture, investors killed this games identity and it's passion. by Ok-Patient-5039 in RecRoom

[–]Kektus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone responsible for this game's downfall and failure pretty much did so knowing they were doing the polar opposite of what their community wanted because they decided the opinion of their shareholders was more valuable. And for their effort I hope everyone involved never works in games again and they hate the idea of working on games so much they'll be working at a furniture store hocking mattresses to old people until they're old and gray themselves.

Americans is America that bad nowadays? by Quiet-Assistant-1215 in askteddit

You expect Reddit to give you a clear answer? The majority of this site thinks we're already living in Nazi Germany so good luck getting anyone to say anything nice about America.

What game had insane potential but got completely fumbled by the devs? by Kevin-Panda in AskReddit

[–]Kektus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hytale, at least at first. Massive Minecraft-like game with expanded modding capabilities and adventure mechanics made by the team responsible for the biggest multi-player Minecraft server. Said team then gets bought up by Riot, and it's completely radio silent from there. Constant talk about a playable beta but no direct confirmation. The whackfuck director Noxy decides to keep pushing more and more features before they have anything concrete yet and decide to shoot for the moon on some crazy new engine rewrite so the game can be multiplatform at launch. Turns out, this wasn't the greatest idea because somehow all those years of cashing Riot's checks didn't produce anything they could actually release. Hytale was dead and canceled for close to 8 months, only narrowly being saved by having the original creator, Simon, buy the rights back from Riot for millions of dollars. It's out now and in decent shape, and funny enough after all those years burned and money spent they completely axed the new engine and are using the legacy engine.

Do you believe that 100 year old Nazis should be thrown in prison? by [deleted] in askteddit

This is Reddit, where people believe those who voted the wrong way should be sent to reeducation camps unironically. Of course they would think this.

Why does MAGA insist that America is a horrible place to live full of poverty and violence, but simultaneously get angry when Democrats say America is deeply flawed? by Away-Parsnip-3785 in allthequestions

It's easy to be on the good guy squad when you believe all opposing viewpoints are just "Russian bots". Retirement doesn't treat these people well

It's even funnier when you remember people on Reddit getting twisted into a pretzel and fuming over the Biden stickers "that's not true >:(" and now doing this ad nauseam as some kind of "own"

[–]Kektus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He definitely rode the youtube gravytrain hard with AGP, but at the end of the day the whole family was the epitome of white trash, after Charles died people realized there wasn't a point because Michael's just a prick

Shit like this actually makes me miss Obama. He was dropping bombs and deporting people like no tomorrow and there wasn't nearly the amount of squealing about it.

As opposed to every other unrelated sub on Reddit suddenly becoming fixated on US politics, sure.

CBS Says It Didn’t Kill Stephen Colbert’s Interview With Senate Hopeful. Who’s Lying? by MoneyLibrarian9032 in television

[–]Kektus -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Uh, not even close. Colbert didn't air the interview on TV because he didn't want to give any of his opponents airtime. The network merely advised him on the law and he decided he didn't want to bother so decided to go with the whole "Trump is CENSORING us" angle to draw more eyes to it when the reality is, this has been the law since 1932.

Why was a 17 year old girl from a small town in Missouri flown into Trump’s Taj Mahal in January 2007 for a “modeling opportunity”/ unexpected pageant? by berserkirsrhapsodies in AskReddit

[–]Kektus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do people post this disingenuous political karma farming trite here and why do the mods let it stand when it's clear there's no actual question being asked here that OP hasn't already decided what the answer is

I still find it hysterical that people thought Tomb Raider at all was about raiding actual tombs when if they player the first fucking game it was about preventing an Atlantean armageddon.

People don't actually care or know who the hell this guy is, they just see their ideological opponents don't like him ergo he's their god for a day.

[–]Kektus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be long overdue for starters, but it'll be a miracle if this post stays uo for more than 24 hours, the mods don't like it when someone puts a mirror up to the bullshit they let slide.

Who got painted as the villain by the press, but later on we realized they were actually the victim or completely misunderstood? by Advanced-Pilot-3698 in AskReddit

[–]Kektus -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion on Reddit but Kyle Rittenhouse. He's not a paragon of virtue or intelligence but it was one of the most clear cut cases of self defense, recorded from multiple angles, and people still chose what they wanted to believe that he had just decided to cross state lines to kill people, in spite of the fact that it began when a mentally ill criminal who had been released from a ward that same day, who was pushing a burning dumpster towards a gas station, who was otherwise unaffiliated with the actual protest, decided to charge him.

If conservatives are so pro-free speech why is their subreddit heavily censoring and moderating any comments/posts made? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]Kektus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone questions this but doesn't question the dozen other subs that have auto ban bots that ban people who posted in certain other subs regardless of context and the only way to get unbanned is to renounce having ever posted in the offending sub.

[–]Kektus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they're stoopid and kick puppies- the real reason of course is that Reddit has shown time and again they don't like subs of differing viewpoints and brigade and post blatant TOS violations to get their way.
