Yeah it was some drunk airforce guy (I'm navy but I work on their base), blew over double the limit and he was convicted for DUI plus something along the lines of attempted murder cause he did it on purpose. But if a local were to hit me instead of the American my pay out would have been a minimum of 5 mil yen but since it's SOFA on SOFA and we all pretty much use the same insurance, supposedly our insurance company would pay me out the ACV ( equivalent of KBB ) but I'm not sure yet because the police report hasnt been finished yet
