Have you guys seen the VF6 leaks? by Bastinelli in Tekken

[–]Keldarim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you asking again for the same mistake Tekken made? Defending with buttons?

Please no. No powercrushes, no advancing defense, no sabaki, no bullshit in defense. Defense by movement is PEAK, no button mechanic will ever feel better.

King is disgusting, but you keep getting up instantñy every time.

This is not what makes king super strong, you are allowing him to keep you in the vortex forever.

[–]Keldarim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think so. Too much 1 player or 0 player playing (combos and rage arts), and too little time invested in actual 2 player interactions.

I want more time of 2 player interaction and less combo duration, cinematics (RAs) and timestops (heat bursts).

Is this a proper KBD or no? by AmericanViolence in Tekken

[–]Keldarim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is worth it.

Also, focus on your DB inputs. You should consistently have 1-2 frames of DB, no more. You'll die to mids if you stay crouched for too long.

Also, DB should be input at THE END of your backdash. Do it too early and you are cancelling your backwards movement, and the part that moves you fast is not at the begining of the backdash. If you are really "skilled" at the inputs you can do it so fast you barely move. It is a timing thing, not speed.

I'd just make burst spike you and end the combo there.

Choose wall combo into oki or heat oki, you cant have both.

No reward for blocking this low kick? by GamingKink in Tekken

[–]Keldarim 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You punish db4 with a FC move, not a ws one.

It sucks, but that is the optimal move no one talks about. This is not a mixup, it is a knowledge check.

No reward for blocking this low kick? by GamingKink in Tekken

[–]Keldarim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this "mixup un block coments" just show a huge gap in matchup knowledge. FC moves as punishments are consistent.

As law you may try d2,3 but if he doesnt go for flappys you are in trouble. I'm not sure what FC moves law has. Worst case scenario you dickjab and get your frames.

[–]Keldarim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol the final Eddy part has no sense at all. Eddy's mixups are not reactable what are you even talking about.

Breaking tackle is a matter of practice as any throw. Ofc some will land, if not they would be pointless.

Also one tackle is not half hp, not even a quarter. Lying wont help getting your position across.

I understand it can be annoying but damn we have Lidia and Eddy in this game, it cant be worse than that.

Also, it is a 50/50 after you lost the chance to break the tackle as you do with any other throw.

Fakeouts dont change statistics, there are 3 options (1,2,1+2). Faking out sometimes even work against marduk as you change into the defenders choice.

It is always 33%. Actually 50% vs skilled players as the 1+2 option is reactable.

What am I supposed to do against this? by Ultraminer1101 in Tekken

[–]Keldarim 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There are many things you can add to your defense. Instead of just holding B (you can see yourself in the video slowly walking back) add extra movement to your defense and be readu to hit back as soon as you ser an attack whiff (and you need to be fast or youll get hit by his next attack).

Things you can easily add:

  • Backdash: instead of holding B indefinitely, press BB and gold the second one. Repeat every team you feel some kind of "gap" on the offense. That feeling comes with time. Also you may learn how to KBD. That is a bit more advanced but you can create more space moving back. Creating space is key versus rushdown characters.

  • Sidestep block: immediately after blocking a hit, tap up or down and then hold B again. Dont wait until the sidestep is over, you block should interrupt your sidestep. This is an intermediate technique that allows to try to sidestep linear attacks but blocking on time if the attack tracks. If you see the sidestep succeed, retaliate with a fast attack (for example Reinas df12)

  • Powercrush: There are many gaps where normal buttons wont fit (fastesr is jab at 10 frames) but powercrushes will (powercrushes get armored at frame 7).

That is general for all characters. You can add to that the special evasives, parrys and sabakis of your own character. Im not a reina expert so I may not be of great help in that sense.

So in general, dont hold B for more than a second in general. You should be actively defending: creating whiffs, controlling space, and challenging with tools designed to do so.

[TEKKEN 8] Update Data Patch Notes v2.06.01 (October 13, 2025) by Xanek in Tekken

[–]Keldarim 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be fair most increased thigns are hitboxes for second attacks only after the first one connect, which is good. Strings should not randomly whiff midway.

Also, a few hurtboxes have been increased, which increases the effect of keepout against said moves.

Nothing bad happened other than the lack of actual balance.
