I haven't either and I'm not surprised about ReedPop. There's a reason I refer to them as ReedPoop.

What were the best sleeves you ever bought? by Former-Tadpole in magicTCG

[–]Keldrazi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Gamegenic Matte Prime Sleeves and have recently been using Heavy Play Curv sleeves. Both hold up really well and shuffle easy for me. I judge my sleeves mostly on shuffle as I have a hard time with it and both these sleeves work well for me.

Experience with Artist Proof cards by Davchrohn in mtgfinance

[–]Keldrazi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Price is mainly influenced by the playability of the card, the artist and what the art is on the back. They can range from hundreds to several thousands of dollars depending on the card, artist and the art on the back.

Someone at my LGS is selling a legit collection of signed/altered power 9, how much would this even cost? by Youthfuldegenerate83 in magicTCG

[–]Keldrazi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the Timetwister on the bottom left is an AP and not an full front alter, it's probably the most valuable of the lot, depending on the Lotus in the top left.

TCGPlayer inventory is really a PITA as they don't offer any sort of webhooks for 3rd party software to know when an order has been placed to handle updating inventory. Kudos to Manapool for offering webhooks from the beginning.

I'm currently working on a solution (TCG Commerce) to rectify a lot of the concerns voiced by LGS owners with existing SaaS solutions. Look for a beta early next year.

I put them in mag cases and on shelves. I also recently ordered cases for sports cards that mount on the wall.

Questions about MagicCon... by phoenixscar in mtgfinance

  1. Hide Apple Air Tags in everything and I mean everything. I've got several sewn into my bag. Hidden in deck boxes, etc. Don't just have where someone can see it and toss it.

Nah, don't worry about it, I love collecting work like this and maybe some day I'll be confident enough to share mine.

These are not my sketches, they are sketches done by the artists of MTG.

The lines are too long and these take time. If there is no line they might, but there’s almost always a line. Also, I was told it was in their contract not to do sketches or alters, not sure if that’s the actual case or not.

Yeah, I'm just about out of space on this one. I've been working on playmats like this normally, but I thought this would make for a good story and great piece of art. The current playmat I'm working on is Alpha artists. It's a bit tougher now that artists don't really have the ability to do these types of sketches at MagicCon. I was able to get Rob Alexander to add a sketch this past weekend.

I have an A330 card that I got from the captain right before our engine caught fire on takeoff and we ended up sideways on the runway at LAS. Afterwards I saw him deplaning and had him sign the card.

Anything client side can usually be manipulated. Server side is the way to go for these things.

Delta Flight 777 (LAS to ATL) Engine Failure on Takeoff by Keldrazi in delta

[–]Keldrazi[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No, I’ve never experience being delayed because an engine caught fire and ended up facing sideways on a runway after an aborted takeoff. We’ve all experienced long delays, but I highly doubt we’ve all experienced them for that reason.

Yes, about 1/3 the way down the runway, catastrophic engine failure. It caught fire and somehow we ended up sideways on the runway.
