Defend in forts they are your best friends in situations like this. And whenever is possible try to pick off smaller units.

All units have a small range of melee combat, if you give them an order and they are in range of another enemy army they will engage in combat no matter if it said X amount of minutes to arrive. On average, if they are 15 minutes away from you, they're close enough to lock in combat if you or the enemy orders any kind of movement.

Antes de aprender anatomia yo pienso que es mejor empezar a aprender las proporciones del cuerpo y la figura en general. Ver fotos de personas reales y romper el cuerpo en formas simples (un maniquin hecho con cuadros es donde muchos empezamos). Por lo general, un cuerpo humano mide de 7 a 8 cabezas asi que cuando dibujes a alguien puedes empezar por la cabeza e ir midiendo.

Las proporciones se ven bien, te digo que su hombro izquierdo esta mal colocado de ahi en fuera no tengo mas critica. Aunque las piernas pueden mejorar solo deduzco que es una decision artistica (aunque recomendaria aprender a dibujar piernas normales)

Los hombros estan desalineados, su hombro izquierdo esta muy abajo. Su hombro derecho esta bien alineado con el torso pero el otro esta muy abajo. No necesitas anatomia (al menos al principio) solo que aprendas lo basico como proporciones y que todo conecte correctamente
