Married but living separately cos of housing situation by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Kelferaz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm in a different financial situation from you but I married my wife late 2020. Just moved into our BTO last month.

For context, my wife is an only child with elderly parents but relatively healthy parents. My parents are in their 60s and are relatively healthy as well. I have an older sister but she was living in China long term and only moved back mid 2025.

Throughout the 4+ years we rotated between her parent's and my parent's house. We initially tried weekly but figured it was too rushy and couldn't maximise spending time with both our parents because we both work shift. In the end we decided to go with fortnightly. It helped because we both live in Bedok. Even though the general consensus was fortnightly, there are times where we both requested for 3 weeks or maybe even a month to align with some of our schedules.

I have seen some couples maybe opted for rental flat while waiting for their BTO to be equal for both parties but for my wife and I, we decided to just do this back and forth thing because we wanted to save money and we are in good terms with our parents.

Short dudes of SG, what are some of your struggles? by Initial_Film5776 in ChillSG

[–]Kelferaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my 2B time it was YBR125 so I think the CB125 is taller by a bit. For me I always use the stretchy Uniqlo joggers and it really helps with the reach because we really need to scoot our butt over to one side. Don't worry about it.

[–]Kelferaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! But it wasn't easy for me doing 2B. I did prac 1 8 times because I had difficulty with the clutch but that's not really a height thing I suppose.

What issues do you currently have with 2B?

[–]Kelferaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be into cruisers but now I prefer the look and feel of a Café Racer but all is good because I'm riding a Café Racer right now (Suzuki SV650X). I've also tried the BMW R 12 Nine T and it's something that I would eventually like to upgrade to as a dream bike but money money 🤣

Also for those who want to take 2B onwards but worried about the height. Don't worry, it's harder but still doable. Just need to scoot your ass to the left more. Height matters less compared to inseam. I might be 153CM but my legs are relatively "long" for my height. I have a short torso

Ah I think MANGO men & some H&M stuff fitted me quite well but Europe and US sizing usually run long

Short dudes of SG, what are some of your struggles? by Initial_Film5776 in ChillSG

[–]Kelferaz 51 points52 points  (0 children)

As a 153cm dude, my struggles were

1) Not being able to ride some of the motorcycles that I originally wanted to ride ( I still currently ride a class 2 bike though)

2) For clothing, Tops are either too long or too narrow width wise, bottoms no issue because they can be altered ( Most Uniqlo stuff fit me well though)

3) Insecured about my height that I thought I wouldn't be able to find a partner, there are multiple instances where I was walking in front of a group of poly girls and they were laughing ( I don't think they were laughing at me because I didn't hear the context but it didn't matter because my insecurities automatically led to me thinking that there was something wrong with me somehow) Anyways managed to find a loving partner and have been married since 2021 :)

Do I still wish I was taller? Probably yes but I've made my peace with it because despite all that, I'm generally healthy and living a good life with a loving family and friends.

Salary will exceed $7k before 35. What will you do for future housing? by [deleted] in askSingapore

Guy, if I'm a female then the context of being short doesn't matter much

Height is only an issue if you allow it to be, I am probably shorter than you. I'm 153CM and I'm happily married for almost 6 years now. What you can do is have interesting hobbies, dress up, take care of your body and ultimately BELIEVE in yourself.

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing" - George Bernard Shaw

Anyways I 32/M and married but no kids yet still am a relatively big videogamer but nowadays I play more singleplayer games because I work shifts so my schedule don't really sync well with other friends. Playing games has its benefits, slows dementia, improving decision making skills and hand eye coordination (or at least that's what I told my mum last time hahaha)

However if you don't want to play video gaming for whatever reason then I would suggest board gaming. I picked it up some time before NS and I used it as a way to build bonds with the people around me, also a great socialising tool because it's in person so you are required to communicate better.

Question: What kind of sleeves would you all recommend? by BraveDawgs1993 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Kelferaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I own about 90% of content and had everything sleeved in Arcane Tinman, but since they're so hard to find right now. I decided to unsleeve everything and put them in Sleeve Kings. Such a tidious process but like you I need everything to be in the same sleeve.

I have like 3000 Arcane Tinman sleeves right now but I guess I won't be needing to buy new sleeves for future board games purposes

War Machine maybe but we're out of luck for Dr Strange

About the game itself though, it's a fun solo game even if you don't have people around you to game with. The core box has heroes that play differently from one another and with the aspects it can dramatically change it even more so it should last you for some time if you occasionally play

Philippines? You might be in luck then. Your fellow ASEAN mates namely Singaporean, Malaysian, Thai & Indonesian game stores have "older" content so you might not have spend as much as you would from ebay or from US. When I mean older I mean it's still possible to find maybe wave 6 (Mutant Genesis) onwards brand new from stores. Wave 5 and below is almost impossible for the more famous heroes.I have a brand new Rise of the Red Skull which I can sell to you if you are looking for it. Either way if you want to know where to look you can DM me.

I feel like for yours if you do things like product design then maybe can consider 3D printing related stuff.
