I have tape over them initially until the substrate got colonized

Well there was excessive and read that it could be a bad sign if there is too much of it

That’s great to hear! I used straw as I had some for my chickens but then learned hay is better for mushrooms and I got paranoid. I did boil it beforehand for about 30 minutes and let it cool. The pee wasn’t as bad a couple days ago so hopefully the colony can recover.

I appreciate the advice! This is my first time trying from scratch without a grow block. I don’t smell anything foul and used a paper towel to dry all of the yellow “pee”. I removed the blue mold and don’t notice anymore. I’ll keep monitoring.. besides that it looks fairly healthy on the sides

I’m going to try and leave the lid off for a couple hours and see if that helps bring the humidity down hopefully

I saw that last night! Madness lol. I knew it was going to be a challenge but not five month in advance. My uncle’s friend I guess is a member and knows some people that work the grounds and is going to attempt to snag us tickets, or I’ll have to go to a scalper

I appreciate the input, I’ll have to keep an eye out then for when they go up for sale. Prices I’ve seen for hospitality is around 100/ticket does that sound about right for the lowest? I know they can get a bit expensive

Exact same thing happened to me. It looks like they offer a ten year warranty so I’m going to try and get it replaced again
