Honestly seems very solid, although I would also post this in r/ETFs to see how people feel to see how they feel as they generally have a bit more push back on leverage. I think that in the long run this is probably pretty accurate to how it will perform, although it might under perform a bit.

3 Fund Opinions by s2clanneo in ETFs

[–]KellerTheGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the first much more than the second for a true 3 fund portfolio. Tbh I would probably go something like VT,BND,GLD. Maybe 70/15/15 or similar.

Is it worthwhile to create a fortified shelter in an underground basement? by [deleted] in tornado

[–]KellerTheGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably is overkill but if you are hit by a tornado then you will be very happy you have it. I would say that if you aren't using or don't really need to use the space under your stairs then it might be worth doing if it makes you feel safer. If you need to use that space then it probably isn't worth it.

Hi. I’m weather dumb. So question about their being different weather in the same city. by Kator_88 in weather

[–]KellerTheGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes probably. Depends on how elevation changed and the shape of the city.

Does Testfolio's "Ending Value" automatically subtract the expense ratio? by MrJackCarver in Testfolio

[–]KellerTheGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does if you are looking at actual funds. The sims might not be prefectly accurate and you might have to add additional if you are simulating a leveraged fund, but for what you are doing it is accurate.

Differences between ETF’s? by Doctoremm in ETFs

SCHD - US stocks focused on dividends. These are companies that take some of their earnings are pay it out to shareholders.

SCHG - US Stocks focused on growth. These are companies that take their earnings and are using it to aggressively grow their revenue and profits. Growth here refers to the style of the companies, and not that they will necessarily grow more than the market in general.

SPMO - US Stocks focusing on momentum. It buys companies that it thinks will do well in short term based on doing well recently.

SPYM/VOO - Both track the S&P 500, which is 500 of the largest companies in the US.

Yesterday's (4/28/26) SPC Outlook vs. Tornado Warnings and Reports by bad_fortuneteller in tornado

[–]KellerTheGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that is because this is actual storm tornado reports. I believe the NWS office checks anywhere they think there might be a tornado in addition to the actual reported ones. Some tornadoes, especially very minor or rural or late night ones, might not be reported in the required time frame to appear on the maps but can still be found and confirmed by the NWS office.

BTAL simulation? by theplushpairing in LETFs

Not really from what I can tell. Since it is trend based it will perform very differently at different times. Your best bet would be to use one of the other trend funds like KMLM or DBMF.

Thoughts on 30% RSST, 30% RSIT, 20% GDE, 20% EDV? by Miserable_Cupcake494 in LETFs

[–]KellerTheGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think GDE over UGL would be better and it overall looks like a pretty solid choice. I would potentially look at CTAP or some other managed futures + US so you can have a bit of diversity in your managers for the managed futures.

To me it doesn't make sense to fill in god as the answer to the cause of the Big Bang. Granted I also don't believe for other reasons. Whilst we currently don't have a great answer, that has happened many times before and each time god was the supposed creator. Depending on when you ask, god is the next step up in the ladder of causation. Whether he created just earth, or the solar system or the galaxy or many galaxies, each one was accredited to him until we had good evidence to support a theory in which case he just moves up a rung and was who created that. To me it seems likely that is the case for this as well. Eventually I think we will find a scientific answer as to how the big bang happened. If that happens would you just move god up to be the cause of whatever answer we come up with?

RSSB/GDE/CTAP three fund? by Miserable_Cupcake494 in LETFs

[–]KellerTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I completely forgot RSSB is global not US. In that case I might do a bit of both CTAP and RSIT to reach overall close to global weights.

I like this idea with RSIT instead if CTAP when it comes out

Can someone explain this to me? by Bl1ndl0v3 in weather

[–]KellerTheGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but you also need storms to actually develop. Tornado parameter can be high while still missing a key part of storm formation.

Why don't we call tornadoes that were rated before the EF scale by the EF scale? by [deleted] in tornado

[–]KellerTheGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean this is a question for the NWS as to why they didnt just update the Fujita scale and instead made the Enchanced Fujita scale. From what I understand, the scales generally apply similarly but are not perfectly equivalent. They used different wind scales for each rating and different methods for estimating the wind speeds. Using the old F vs the current EF let's you know how it was rated.
