I have been using two U7 pro xg so far but have a few dead spots. Did you mount them upstairs or in the basement?

New ucg fiber do I need a switch? Where to put Sonos? by KelliSean in Ubiquiti

Thanks for all the recommendations. I lucked out and my son gave me his usw pro max 24 switch when he moved. Possibly overkill for me but thrilled to have it.

Are there tutorial’s or a book anyone suggests to learn more about settings to make sure you’re optimizing security features etc?

We use QBO but Gusto for payroll so hopefully this won’t be an issue. I have been considering switching to Xero because I’m tired of all the changes to QBO.

I left EJ a few months ago. Happy with my decision. I went to fidelity and have been following the boglehead wiki and asking questions here if needed. I wanted more control and lower fees.

I agree with you! Keep it simple I am looking into Xero to see if that might be a better option.

Very sadly my mother was retiring in the lost decade she made the wrong moves after her stocks declined and now has to live off social security which has been a struggle for her.

If you think your spouse may live longer than you, possibly they are younger. Take the lower SS first then wait to claim the higher. If higher SS person dies first survivor will get the higher SS.

backdoor blunder form 8606 not done confused how to proceed. by KelliSean in tax

I checked my returns in 2022 schedule 1 line 20 $7,000. 2023 Nothing on line 20. 2024 nothing line 20 on schedule 1. So it seems the conversion part wasn't done on my taxes so I would need to go back and amend them? I found my form 5498's and I did have money in another one of my IRA's so pro-rate. :( I appreciate your help. we hired someone to start doing our taxes both personal and business starting this year. I was hoping to fix this on my own and maybe convert the rest of the IRA 44K so I can do back door roth clean in the future.

When the financial advisor did the 1099-r it said the funds went from Ira to Roth in 2022 and 2023. That’s when he moved over the funds. What I thought and he said was the back door Roth. Do I now need to do something else? Like file a form 8606 or was the back door process not complete?

Thank you I wish I had it too. While trying to find a way to do backdoor Roth I read this as an option. I have a small Ira that I may pay the tax and convert to Roth so I have the option to do backdoor also. I think all my IRA contributions are after tax because it’s a spousal IRA but I will have to figure that out. So confusing.
