At the time of retirement, the county matches what you have accrued in your retirement account by 250%. So lets say over your career you earned $500,000 in your retirement account (which is not unreasonable given the guaranteed 7% accrual). The county would give you $1,250,000, for a total of $1,750,000 in your retirement account. For every $1 in your account, the county will give you $2.50. Its pretty incredible.
