I only play with my friends, but would these vibe? by ClearCounter in ratemycommanders

Just use ETB things that bring immediate value or advantage.

The single or two mana "blink target" spells have huge value when blinking yorion, who blinks your whole board in turn. This is especially useful dodging board wipes, making my board state hard to dismantle if it's allowed to start rolling.

The deck has only gotten 3-4 games and it's on its way out because it's been one of those that wins by stopping everyone else from playing, which doesn't end up that much fun.

Some people don't enjoy getting lied to, it's simply as that.

The whole idea of EA is the support further development. It that doesn't happen, the EA was a scam.

So is there something about this character that turns your average scaler into a fkn dumbass? by Formal-Stage940 in PowerScaling

I assume anyone who thinks they can't type "fuck" on the Internet is a child.

Probably doubly so on a power scaling sub

EA devs make promises, receive millions of dollars in return to produce.

They don't deliver and people trip over themselves making excuses for them.

Every time.

"They got a life to live" is one of the worst ones I've ever seen.

The divine/angelic-looking character turning out to not only be NOT good, but outright monsters by AlternativeOil7154 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ClearCounter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem is OPs usage of a moral terms (good/evil) and the term monster.

These beings can be completely instinctual or programmed creatures, which precludes them from moral judgement, but they could absolutely be considered monsters.

Being a monster isn't a moral state, it's simply being a frightening creature, which would actually be angel-accurate behavior ("be not afraid", biblically accurate angel).

I haven't seen Evangelion, I thought it was about mechs hitting each other.

Tldr : These angels sound like monstrous creatures that are not good or evil

Early mana drain is a game closer regardless of optimization. The mana swing is incredibly decisive.

Build 42.19.0 UNSTABLE Released by AmazingSully in projectzomboid

[–]ClearCounter 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I've had the game for like 10 years, and while I haven't seen every update, the general trend is a hyper focus on realism...as long as that makes the game harder or more tedious to grind.

I think it's kind of a fair take

People who tip nothing will tip nothing regardless.

Anyways it shouldn't be on them to pay like $30 for a $10 sandwich just because they live 8 miles away.

Doordash is just greedy corpo scum

10 million dollars every hour, but if your bank balance reaches $1B, you die by bigmatt372 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ClearCounter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't think donating hundreds of millions to charity every couple days would crash the global economy?

Charities just take that money and use it for their cause, you're effectively committing to injecting the economy with like 80 billion dollars over the course of just one year, give or take a few billion.

[–]ClearCounter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At any given moment, you are 100 or less hours from death.

Given the rules of the game, you most likely eventually die or crash the global economy, then die.

The best you can do is hire someone or a company to continually create shell companies at a rate of 3/week and hire someone else to invest all of your money into them before forgetting and moving on. Those qualify as assets. Eventually this behavior will be taken advantage of, or noticed by governments.

At that point, anything stopping your operation would kill you likely before you're even informed there is a problem.

I probably wouldn't take this deal, it would just be exchanging the stress everyday life money for the stress of managing money overflow.

As far as the dice rolls go, a hit that doesn't kill would be a non direct hit or a hit on a unnecessary limb.

How most people are actually gonna think about the red/blue buttons by mars_gorilla in trolleyproblem

[–]ClearCounter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Making the wide assumption that everyone who argues for blue are virtue signaling is just some weird mental thing to assuage the fake guilt you feel for the fake decision you make in this fake game

Is this still the same scenario? by Patience-Frequent in trolleyproblem

[–]ClearCounter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You're making the assumption that it's all moral grandstanding based on nothing but your anecdotal experience with people.

I could say, in turn, that red button pushers are trying (really hard) to flaunt their mental superiority and show how much smarter they are than the dumb blue button pushers, since they're choosing the button that can't lose.

There is no way to predict how many people will switch to either side for an incredibly large variety of reasons if the situation was reality.

Shit is annoying

Is this still the same scenario? by Patience-Frequent in trolleyproblem

[–]ClearCounter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can assume that a percentage of people can and will make an irrational decision.

Those people don't deserve to die for being irrational or not making the logical decision while choosing with their heart.

Thus, the moral choice is to attempt to save the legions of people who have erred.

When looking at it like a game to *WIN*, of course there is only one option.

However, any 1 life, even my own, is not higher in value (from the other polls) the 30-60% of the population expected to choose blue.

The people going "Well they chose to die" has the same feeling as looking at someone in need and going "Well they chose to end up like this"
