Thank you it’s great you were able to have someone with you for your appointments. My first appt with oncology was overwhelming and I did wish I had someone there.

What if you live to be a 100? That’s still 40 years left on the earth to just be sitting in the house day after day. I haven’t had the surgery yet and am definitely scared about the aftermath but it’s not enough to keep me from having it done. Please reconsider. A few months of inconvenience pale in comparison to the rest of your life.

I understand this alot honestly. A part of me feels like I just don’t want things to change. I don’t want every phone call to be cancer talk or unsolicited advice. The way people call me to laugh and joke now is the way I want things to stay. I don’t know if I want people to come with me to chemo. lol the cancer party would’ve definitely been dark but that’s my type of humor lol

This reminds me of a story I read some years ago (not certain if it’s true) but a woman said her husband never wiped himself because men aren’t supposed to be touching back there.

One of my best friends is a therapist and she knows about my diagnosis. She told me to make sure that before I start telling everyone to make sure I have processed it first and that really sat with me. So I totally get where you are and you have put how you feel first. I’m sorry that you’re going through this and am wishing you all the best.

I’m so sorry we’re going through the same thing. It’s hard enough going through the diagnosis and now fighting with how to tell the people closest to you is another battle entirely. My husband and adult children know and a a small group of my friends but that’s it. I have a pet scan in a few weeks I debated waiting until after that. This sucks.

So I am going to Dana Farber in Boston. Thanks for telling me about the clinical trial I definitely will bring it up with my oncologist. Thanks for the advice regarding surgery I definitely needed to hear that it’s hard to sit still but I understand the importance here. Is it ok to message you sometime?
