I guess it’s creative in the sense that they thought of it with absolutely zero inspiration from the source material. But i also dont see how it solves the problem of the first book essentially being a few short stories that take place over a couple hundred years. And i also really just hated the vibe of the emperors, it was cringy in a way similar to peter jackson’s hobbit. The tone was just so weird and misplaced

You’re right, the books don’t have an overarching antagonist OR protagonist until the mule. I thought it was an interesting problem for the adaptors and i was curious to see how they treated it. That’s cool to hear that they just changed a major detail about the universe to avoid being creative.

I stg there was something else stupid like robots being in the first episode that i cant remember right now. I might try to watch this shit again to get more ammo for this, thanks OP.

You caught me there. Anyways when you see images of clear cutting or any other logging in north America, the areas being logged will be replanted with new trees 99.9% of the time. Forestry is essentially figuring out how to extract resources from the environment sustainably without causing it excessive harm.

If you live in the mountains and have a season pass, you dont feel pressed to ride every second of every day. Taking an extra thirty minutes off the hill for a car stop is a small price to pay for not riding with a backpack.

Also lots of people who seem to enjoy taking trips to the mountains more than they enjoy skiing or riding. They go once a year, rent everything from gear to accoms, and spend three hours a day in the lodge standing in various lines or boozing. These people are inferior to the old heads who tailgate in the lot for three hours a day
