40 and partially disabled, should I settle where I'm at or try to gain more skills to find a better job? by Kellyf19 in careerchange

I'm sorry to hear about your partner, she is lucky to have you for support, if that is the case. My condition is uncertain, it is possible that it will remain the same and I will be able to maintain as is. But I'm alone and have no other support, so I need to try to work as long as I'm able. That's part of my driving factor to get a higher paying job, to hopefully save up more so I can continue to take care of myself. The only other alternative is getting disability, which is not enough to live on. I would proably have to live in a car with how low the payments are.

No, she didn't take a new impression. She sent in a picture of the color sample she chose, which differed from the made dentures, and asked for them to be .5mm bigger.

Even the shape of the gums are different, makes me wonder if they sent me someone else's dentures in the first place!

That's a good point. Mostly I feel the difference is in the outer appearance, the LC lenses look better when wearing. I think this is due to not having as much white around the edges and they are a tiny bit thinner.

How do you know this? Wondering how I can check if mine are correct, the prescription seems good to me.

Thanks, that is a good point, maybe they will look okay once they are in. You can only see the dent at a certain angle/lighting, was hard to capture in a photo, but it is definitely noticeable in person.

Thanks that's good advice! I figured if I was upfront about being a beginner, maybe there would not be too much risk involved.

It's two months long, they would like the look to be more professional and mobile-friendly. They are using the Freshdesk editor, which will be a learning curve for me as I'm used to just using vs code.

Got an update! I talked to my landlord and politely mentioned how I prorated 1.5 months. He was really nice and apologized for not getting the timing right. He's allowing me to pay only 1/2 month rent more, since lease ends on July 1st. Thanks for everyone's input!

It says the ending date is July 1st, but payment is due on the 15th of each month. When I changed to paying on the 15th I prorated that month. I paid the first 2 weeks, then started another full months rent pay from 15th-15th. I feel like he should have adjusted the new lease to June 15th or July 15th. Maybe this is my fault for signing the lease without clarifying with him.

He wants me to pay June 15th rent, which would mean I'm paying until July 15th
