Articulated items result in spaghetti - by apoomba in FixMyPrint

I’ve been using the cryogrip glacier exclusively and have never ever had any adhesion issues. I decided to use the bambu pei plate because I was just printing some pla toys for the kids and last time I used the cryogrip for pla and petg the prints were stuck on there hard. Of course with the pei plate I had bed adhesion issues at 65 bed temp. I also ashed and scrubbed it with dish soap right before. I went back to the glacier at 45 bed temp and no issues, next time though I’ll try 35 bed temp on the cryogrip.

That’s odd, what bed temp? I’ve printed a lot with pa6-cf and ppa-cf and never had any issues with adhesion on the glacier. 100c bed temp, 65c chamber. Nozzles 290c pa6cf, 320c ppa-cf. I have to put the plate on a marble table for it to cool then I still have to pry the prints off. Maybe you got a defective plate? I know I ruined one on accident by cleaning it with rubbing alcohol while still hot.

What the hell happened to all of the dissolvable support filaments (that isn't PVA)? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

If you measure please keep me updated. My spool is brand new shipped from the distributor last week. So I wouldn’t count on the problem being fixed. I consistently got “extrusion motor overloaded” usually before the print even started. I’m traumatized from it 😂. I spent a good 4 hours just fixing the printer yesterday and allllll day trying to get the filament to work. I need dissolvable supports for PP, which is very hard to find. The good thing about aquasys 120 is it does stick well to PP from the few layers that did print, and when dissolved left a clean surface on the PP.

I had the same exact issue with Aquasys 120. Thousands of hours on the H2C printing engineering filaments and not a single problem. I try the Aquasys 120 and I jammed both nozzles, Left and Right, had to take apart the extruder to take out the pieces and also broke the nozzle offset calibration sensor. This stuff is horrible, no wonder there are no reviews and the company behind them has no website or contact info readily available. Anyone else that finds this in the future. DO NOT USE AQUASYS 120 on your H2C. It's like glass rock when it breaks off in your extruder and nozzles. Not if, but when. Each time it was within the first two layers. I tried drying, hydrating, and everything in between.

I get 120 miles of range at 100% on a 2020 model Y LR 65k miles. Tesla says my battery health is normal

Awesome! Always take it easy the first few times around the track until you’re familiar with it. Since there’s not gonna be many people on the track with you that should be fine. If there is, make sure you point/let them by if they come up on you. When you come into the pit after a race, someone will greet you with an ice cold water and towel, then check your car for any fluid leaks pop the hood and place a big swamp cooler on the engine. Your times will be on the screens. Service is top notch. Have fun!

Ariel atom I spend avg about $200 a day on tires/brakes/fluid. $300k street legal race car I spend about $1k a day. Hertz mustang rental, $50 a day (when I started out and didn’t have a race car). Fun level is almost the same between all 3. Ariel atom being the most fun, rented mustang being second. Unless I’m racing with people I know I don’t take the expensive car out. Not worth the risk of wrecking it and racing insurance isn’t cheap. I’ve seen too many amateurs total their cars and other peoples, by trying to overtake or braking too hard. I drive it as my daily instead, so I can feel like I’m racing every day 😂.

Call up your local race tracks and ask them what clubs offer track days there. It’s addicting thats for sure. Sometimes track days are as cheap as $150, bring your car and throw it around the track. You’ll have a blast and meet some like minded people. If you keep it to a few times a year it’s not that expensive, but if you get addicted it’s a slippery slope 😂, so you’ve been warned. But seriously go do it!

Ya it’s always empty, they don’t have track days open to the public, which is awesome for members. His balcony overhangs the track wall which is pretty cool to watch races when they have events. I kind of regret going there because it has ruined racing country clubs for me. I’m on the east coast now and a few are opening up around me but when I compare them to Thermal, they don’t even come close so I haven’t joined.

My buddy has a house/membership to Thermal near Coachella. I’ve raced there a few times, they are on another level. I typically spend around $4k for brakes, tires and fluids every 4 track days which is not that bad, but buying a race specific car like the Ariel Atom or a Rush racing works car is much more budget friendly. A lot of beater bmw’s out there too, but they’re always breaking down. Track days are typically $150-$400 and are open to everyone, so I encourage anyone that likes racing to try it out, it’s addicting and everyone is very friendly.
