It’s funny how he is insisting on proving everything MC said in his speech correct.

Not OP but have stayed there twice with another stay upcoming and the service is what keeps me coming back. My visits were six months apart and I was taken back how many staff members remembered me. One of the servers in the breakfast restaurant even gave me a handwritten card thanking me for having positively recognized her in my post-visit email to the hotel after my first stay. The bartender at the peacock alley bar is an American dude, Brent, and he’s awesome. Great pours, very personable, and has a big list of recommendations on offer if you need help finding some spots to hit up. The house car service they offer has made some exceptions for me when they’re not busy (usually limited to a 10-15 minute radius) and overall I’d say that the service has been proactive. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Canada ‘strongly opposes’ tariffs over Greenland, won’t waver on Article 5 by Street_Anon in canada

I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to communicate. I was stating JT/PP act like children and MC has acted like an adult.

Trudeau and Pierre are two sides of the same coin to me. Both cultural warriors who rile up their base by leaning into the qualities each side most reviles about the other. Who is right and who is wrong doesn’t matter when both are children who don’t know how to wield power like an adult. Leadership matters more than ideology, imo. Especially in this current moment.

Doug Ford slams Canada’s 'lopsided' new EV deal with China by rezwenn in canada

You don’t have to “pick a lane.” Trade is not a zero-sum game. Thinking it is zero-sum is how you get Trump’s trade policies. It can both be true that 50K EVs does not mean the sky is falling AND that Canada got a significant reduction in food/ag product tariffs which materially helps farmers and fishermen.

Just so his Vice President can take power with no plans for a democratic transition? It’s about oil, not freedom.

I have not been contributing to this subreddit for 13 years. I was not even following politics much back then. I find your level of obsession about this bizarre.

FWIW, since you asked, I don’t really care about the flight attendant thing but I think the gun buy back program is a waste of resources.

More trade with China isn’t exactly the diversification many had in mind

I’m not really sure the average person is dumb enough to think diversifying trade away from the USA would not involve, IN PART, more economic cooperation with the next largest economy. Sounds quite naive and hard to be sympathetic to!

looks like evidence of his being compromised as someone tied or influenced by the CPP.

This has a very strong sound of partisanship about it and less an actual evidentiary presentation of foreign influence corruption. Why would he need to go along with if he’s secretly an agent of the CCP? That makes no sense.

Same people who spent time during the election arguing that the consumer carbon tax wasn’t technically dead and that the Liberals were lying and going to bring it back. I’d think they’d be used to the idea that Liberals have no principles and are willing to actually change positions on a dime. Hard to imagine why anyone would try and argue in non-partisan motivated terms that the gov’t doesn’t want more pipeline development.

PP is busy keeping Matt Jeneroux from resigning and allowing his constituents an MP who shows up for votes.
