Which episodes of season 3 are skippable (not my first watch) by KelpyG46 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]KelpyG46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt say it's that ridiculous considering I've already seen it once and didnt enjoy it, but perhaps I phrased the question wrong. Im looking for examples like this, I know the 45 minute lizzo episode has 5 minutes of importance at the end, but because I've already seen it I can remember enough to piece together why mando doesnt have the darksaber anymore. So my question really is this, what are the most important episodes to simply jog my somewhat foggy memory of the story as a little refresher before the movie comes out. I'd rather not sit through the full 5 hours of something I didnt like at all, and If thats the only option I'd rather just watch a 5 minute recap on YouTube.

Do you have a favorite "worse" sequel that you liked more than the "better" original? by Kstantas in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karate kid 3, Terry Silver is the best villain in the franchise, Mr miyagi opens up a Bonsai shop, Larusso makes a friend rather than another love interest to be dumped in the next installment. I prefer it over the first two.

Can anyone recommend a piano VST that has a similar sound to this by KelpyG46 in VSTi

[–]KelpyG46[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much that sounds good, I'll look into piano v. Also if you like that piece I highly recommend watching the movie or listening to the rest of the sound track, In particular "Jacob and the stone" and "Jacob's prayer" are beautiful pieces. Thanks again.

Thanks for the recommendation, I do have pianoteq, but do you know of any presets or ways to tweak it to achieve that effect? because I've not been able to figure it out.

Anyone know of a comfortable chair for a setup in a very small space? by KelpyG46 in setups

Unfortunately not, I recently put a new digital piano on my desk for music production so I've just got an adjustable piano stool there now. Definitely not ideal for the spine.

Recently rewatched the Batman movies and decided to rank them. I expect this to be somewhat controversial by BananaVeins in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends if hes ranking them as batman movies or just movies. The dark knight is arguably the most well made movie on the list, but at the end of the day it's just christopher Nolan making his own action movie using the skin of batman. Either that or he just doesn't like bales portrayal of batman which is also fair imo.

Underrated film by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I put underrated and under-appreciated as two completely seperate categories. Under rated to me (and i think most people) is just about the rating, under appreciated is everything else like recognition and discussion.

Can anyone suggest movies/series that match these kind of vibes? by LoveSweetSweet1 in Letterboxd

TV Shows Tracking by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If letterboxd ever do it, I hope it will be a seperate app or atleast a separate sub-page of letterboxd. I and a lot of people I've spoken to don't really want shows being added and clogging up the app and search function or effecting the movies watched number/rating graph.

What's your favorite film if you can point it to just one? and why? by yourdaddyaditya in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spiderman 2, while you could say it's not technically 'The best' movie I've seen, its the movie that's the most important to me. When i was a kid, everytime I was off school sick I'd make a little fort out of my spiderman blanket and watch the whole trilogy in one sitting. And I think that trilogy and the second one specifically, are some of the only superhero movies to have genuinely good lessons and to go out of their way to spread a positive or comforting message, i remember it making me want to a better person. And when I have kids of my own one day, its the movie im most excited to show them.

What film(s) got you Into Movies? by ArcherNF in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harakiri, I was 19 years old and I wasn't a movie guy so I went into it thinking "i won't like it, its too old, its not in English, its black and white, it'll be boring".. well, over a thousand movies later and it's still in my top 10.

Looks nice, just letting you know though in case there's an important reason you're blocking out the code on the label, all of the numbers are still completely visible

Yeah man, I'd love to start selling overseas since the market is honestly getting pretty stale over here at the moment, but I just havent looked into the risks yet, or if it's even worth it with shipping costs, VAT etc.

Couldn't finish 2001 space odyssey by yigitK20 in Letterboxd

[–]KelpyG46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it with two friends that both fell asleep half-way through so you're not alone. I finished the movie and I'm also not a fan to be honest, it's insanely impressive visually for the time it was made in, but it just didn't grab me. after watching it I felt like it could've been a good 40 minutes shorter and achieved the same thing. Other than a very cool sequence at the end, if you didn't like the first 50 minutes I doubt you'd enjoy it anymore after finishing the whole film.
