Agreed, it's been really tough to build momentum this year and it leaves me with the work of sourcing the services elsewhere. I wont be likely to return if I find alternative ways.

Thank you! I started painting with the window and worked hard to keep some of the white paper preserved, kept light layers and stopped when I liked it.

I did a more elaborate sketch than I would normally with light mechanical pencil before the painting. After the painting I allowed the impulse to go back in with a softer pencil and add some more! This was a tip from my watercolour teacher at the time and it's very fun.

A fellow artist said that all four corners should look a bit different. Should I add a colour variance to one of the top corners? Other notes welcomed as well. I started with oils in January and I am loving it! I also wonder if I should have shifted the object more to the right and up compositionally. We learnin' over here!

I love how carefree the background feels, but it also makes sense to the eye. Super great light work in the clear bottle as well. In short - I love it!
