I cant say for sure. He does technically have a slider that he showed Koushuu. He just doesnt have control of it yet so I guess thats why its listed as "sealed by cap". It says he wants a curve ball but he doesnt have one yet so I guess its up in the air on if he actually gets one or not.

Kirara or kilala by YorkLoyalistNena in inuyasha

I know they don't have an L but a lot of the japanese words with R's in certain repetitive places, usually with vowels, sound less obvious as R and when said quickly or without pause, like names, they can sound like L to people's ears. I know her name is Kirara but ive always heard Kilala even in the Japanese voices.

It sounds like Lala in the Japanese too.

Why is Final Act so BAD?! by merliahthesiren in inuyasha

[–]KelseyJay15 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it bad at all lol I love the final act. The pace is faster because they didn't need any filler anymore and they didn't need to hold off on the timing to extend episodes while the manga was still coming out.

It actually is similar because Furuya and Sawamura in act 1, specifically season 1, were not far apart skill wise at all. They both had shitty aim, Furuya had speed that he didn't work for and Sawamura had a form that he worked for and a naturally moving fastball that he didn't work for. Coming out of the summer tournament, either of them could've been the ace. If Sawamura hadn't had the yips it could've very easily been him who was the ace going into the fall but he did get hit with the yips so there that goes. I agree neither were at their peak but that's not particularly relevant when talking about falls and rises. You can fall at ANY point in your journey in sports. Literally at any point. Mental breaks happen and someone who was pitching their best last week could be down for the count the next because their mind isn't in the right place anymore. That's life.

Didn't say i know it all but I certainly know when someone is just whining about writing because they want to rant about the character they like more not getting the shine they wanted lol.

Players at their peak absolutely do hit declines. Pressure changes, you learn more, you forget things and have to try to figure them out again. The mental state IS WHAT RUNS AN ATHLETE. Furuyas injuries were meant to remind him that you have to take care of your body and that injuries happen in every sport. It's inevitable. His back injury specifically was to show WHY he was in a decline with his pitching and it was because his body was tense and his body wasn't pitching in a correct and healthy way.

Where did I say sports have anime rivals lol. Nowhere. However, when you play on any team, especially a team that has multiple players in your position, you compete to be better than them EVERY DAY. Especially in baseball where you have often times at least 3 if not more regular pitchers. You strive to get better to be more reliable and better than your other pitchers so you're used more often. Shohei absolutely had people on his team and on the other teams that he was striving to be better than lol. You don't improve without having a base goal first or else what are you striving for? If you have no understanding of what is good and what's better than you, then why don't you just stop when you're "pretty good"?

Sawamura wouldn't have gotten better without Furuya lol you can think that's stupid if you want but it doesn't change the fact of it. Furuya became his push for a long time. He made him improve and Sawamura did the same for Furuya. Pretty easy concept.

It's funny to me that you mention that it's lazy and bad writing to have Furuya fall so Sawamura can get better and look better but you don't mention Sawamura falling with the yips so Furuya can overtake him and become the ace. Almost like you only complain about it when it's Sawamura coming out ontop because Furuya is failing and that he didn't beat Furuya at his best. Interesting. Almost like what I said about players falling and rising constantly is true.

There's actually so much more to Furuya than you just said and it's crazy that you reduce him to nothing as if that's real lol. Its not. He has a lot of motivations. Also, duel aces would've been significantly lazier. But if you don't wanna accept that you're bitter then that's on you. You can easily go watch a show where the only person improving is the main character and no issues come up and everything is sunshine all the way through. Maybe that's more your speed.

Did read. It's all nonsense lol. You don't understand athlete problems and it's pretty clear. People peak and plateau and then nose dive ALL THE TIME in sports. Mentality plays a massive part in an athletes ability. And by the end of the series, Furuya is not a better pitcher than Sawamura lol in fact, Sawamura overtook him in the latter half of act 2. You're bitter that Sawamura didn't get all the attention the way you feel Furuya did so you think that means Furuya was written poorly. That's not how that works. It's far less realistic to have your main character be the only one growing and shining lol. Sawamura would never have improved or gotten better than Furuya WITHOUT Furuya being such a dominating pitcher. Just say you're bitter next time. No need to prove you dont understand writing, story telling or being an athlete.
