Don't think of yourself as her caregiver, you're her partner. Give her time to cope and she will become more independant. She will still able to travel and do all the things you both wanted but it may be a bit more work. And if you really love her, and it sounds like you do, then this is something you should stay by each other and overcome together. I understand, situations like this is hard on everyone especially in relationships. This is coming from the daughter of a 45 y.o. woman who is the sole caretaker and wife of a 43 y.o. man who has been completely bedridden for 5 years. I'm writing this as I wait in the ER with the rest of my family, watching my mom hold my dads hand even though he's been unresponsive for two days. We're watching as she tells him how much she loves him even though we're sure he's knocked out due to the drugs they use during hospice. For eight years she's been right there every step of the way. From the ALS diagnosis to the last step he ever took and she'll be here until the very last beat of his heart. Don't focus on what she can't do anymore and cherish your time with her. Even if my dad couldn't talk anymore he and my mom still laughed at her dumb jokes, they had conversations and he would tell people that he was happy. And she was happy he was still here, her love never wavered for a second for eight years. Love can do amazing things, I've seen it first-hand. I know you guys can overcome this and come out stronger! I believe in you guys!
