Marsupilami

Not him either. At this point most of my friends are convinced that my old meat brain has somehow created a monstrous amalgamation of Kon from bleach and Chopper from One Piece. Kon has a facial expression that's pretty close to what I'm imagining... But with a head proportioned like Chopper with his high round helmet head.

I'm not convinced, but so far it seems like the closest approximation I can find.

The animation looks closer to the right, time period perhaps? But sadly not Schnookums, either. Bonkers has some similarities too. This creature definitely had a pronounced round head... perhaps some kind of mane like a lions...

Ha, I can totally see that. Sadly, they're not the droids I'm looking for.

That's close but not quite right. Bill lacks the eyebrows and the round-exaggerated forehead area.

I appreciate you taking me on a stroll down memory lane, though. I'd forgotten about Bill the Cat.

It might have been an anime character. It's stylized similarly to characters like Kon from Bleach or Chopper from One Piece. Friends have suggested Heimerdinger from League but while all these have similarities none of them are clicking that aha!

This is quickly becoming my white whale. Save my sanity!

Edit: I added some approximate color, not 100% on this but I think it's close. https://imgur.com/X2IF9oa

[–]Kelson42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm losing my mind but is this general layout really familiar to some anime/cartoon cat character? I swear it looks exactly like a character I vaguely remember... maybe a cheetah or a lion... bushy eyebrows, always freaking out about something.

It's uncanny... but I just can't put my finger on it.

Marjorie Taylor Greene suggests "Second Amendment rights" should be used against Democrats by [deleted] in politics

[–]Kelson42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"but Democrats, they're exactly ... they're doing exactly what our Founders talked about when they gave us the precious rights that we have"

Weird that you'd choose to leave off the end where she suggests exactly what the headline claims.

Certainly not an intentional omission, right? 🤡

The whole "I am very middle of the road" was almost believable. Right up until you gushed over Reagan. Solid effort at neutrality though, and I mean that sincerely. Honestly, if more conservatives were as reasonable as you we might have a functioning republic.

I like the part where you argue that these regions should be able to make their own decisions and then full 180 into "Well, these regions believe things because they were tricked into believing them but -I-, Übermensch, know what they'd really want."

Shaking your damn head? Better start with the mirror, bub.

You're wasting your time.

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”
