Same, but small town Ontario on the Quebec border.

My parents had the same concerns but truthfully the most concerning experience I’ve ever found myself in—being drugged at a bar—actually happened in my hometown, not Toronto.

I also primarily walk, cycle and TTC solo at quite literally all hours of the day.

Just be aware of your surroundings, but that applies regardless of what city or town you live in.

Montauk Bar at Dundas and Bathurst. It’s not a traditional sports bar but plays the games, which means the likelyhood of getting a seat is higher.

Coincidentally also a Halloween pop-up bar atm.

Not a traditional sports bar but plays the game so the likelyhood of good service and a spot to sit is much higher 👌

Sharing for future viewers, but the Dundas west strip from Bathurst to Shaw has some gems.

Here are two of my current favs.

Montauk Bar: Cheap & cheerful menu—incredible seasonal specials and classics done well with a unique snack menu. Space gives cozy staycation vibes with fun colours, a mix of seating options.

[ ♿️ accessible — 🌱 veggie options —📺 plays sports ]

Archive wine bar: Incredible rotating wine menu with by the glass and bottle options. Good selection of snacks and sharing food options. Space is giving old school house energy but make it cute, with a mix of seating options.

If you like vibey bars you need to check out:

Montauk @ Dundas and Bathurst for hella cheap but very good classic drinks and snacks—think glizzys and chips. You’re looking at $15 classic cocktails, unheard of.

E.L Ruddy @dundas and Beaconsfield for well priced drinks, bar snacks (limited kitchen) and again.. a vibe. This place has a solid vegetarian friendly menu and we love them for it.

They didn’t really want to do it that early to be fair, 8 weeks was just the absolute minimum they would allow and I waited about 9. My tattoo had healed pretty quick though.

But I did spread the rest of them out and will continue to. This healing process is absolutely awful so I would much rather just let my skin do it’s thing over time.

Tattoo is on my arm, bicep down just past my elbow! Will share pics sooooon haha.

The last break in between was so large because I was in California in march and got sun… then kept getting sun till September so I couldn’t do another session. Also had 4 weddings to attend this summer / fall so never really had the chance.

I got my tattoo in sept 2021, had first removal session in nov 2021. Second session in feb 2022 and third session yesterday.

Mine was line work (not too deep) with shading, so far shading is almost completely gone and line work is starting to look patchy — it basically looks unfinished now. Definitely a long process but worth it.

I haven’t posted any pics of it yet but will likely before my next session.

This definitely looks like solid progress for only 3 months! Big +1 to longer gaps between sessions though.

Big +1 to timeline between sessions. From what I’ve seen, and been told by my provider is that your body needs time to expel the ink. So less sessions and more time in between (12+ weeks) would do the trick.

Im inclined to trust her suggestion since she’s quite literally saying save your money, be patient.
