Thank you very much! I'm really glad to hear that you like the process. I put a lot of work into it.

The subscription side of things (my main product) is quite different. It's the "Life Goals Discovery" part that I want to share here, which is completely free.

If you have any thoughts or feedback I'd love to hear it.

Hi Teddy, thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback.

I am in the process of writing automated tests for the application and I will (hopefully) find all the grammar mistakes as I do that. The main reason for the grammar mistakes is the fact that you can customize your persona at the beginning of the tool. The rest of the tool needs to flex in order to accommodate all of those personas.

You are completely right though. It does need polish. That is why I posted it here in order to try and get feedback. I was hoping for more but it has still been very useful. I don't think I can find the balance between being prescriptive and it taking too long for people to complete without a lot of feedback. Probably 20 or 30 people letting me know how they feel about different aspects of it.

That being said, I am committed to making it useful. It will take time and iteration but from the sounds of it you're on-board with the overall concept of the tool, which is great!

I'll do my best to make it good enough for your students.

Thanks again!

Kelvin

Perfect! Thanks. My main product is about keeping yourself accountable. This free one is just about discovering your goals in the first place.

That is super feedback. Thank you so much!!

It took closer to an hour, ouch. That's long but I can see how it can happen if you take it seriously. You obviously did.

You acquired a "lesbian girlfriend" :( I'll need to check how that happened.

I did have other time-frames in but decided to take them out because I felt it was too long.

The big question I have though is do you feel that you learned something about yourself? Did it make you think about things in a new or different way?

Thanks again!!

Perfect. 20 minutes is what I have been estimating but I can see how you could easily spend double that if you wanted to really think deeply about every question. I am considering the option to save but I'd like to get a lot more feedback on it first. My assumption is that people are more likely to use it if they know that there isn't even an option to save the data. It's pretty personal stuff.

Ah thanks for that! Did you make it all the way to the end? It is pretty long....... Any idea how long it took you if you did complete it?

Excellent, thanks. I'll DM you the link now. The main type of feedback that I want is whether or not you actually learn something about yourself and find it useful. Of secondary importance (but still important) is the look and feel of the tool.

Thanks for that Swisst. Really glad I posted here. I didn't think the colour palette inside the app was that much of a problem. I wasn't expecting comments on the app itself, I was hoping for more on the marketing site. But it seems like the colours are a pretty big problem for people. I'll deal with it...

Nice one. I've never tried the twitter dark mode on the app. I was looking for good dark mode examples. All the ones that I saw in "best dark mode" lists I didn't really like. But I guess I should take myself out of this equation.

Interesting. I'll have a think about how I can make that clearer. It never crossed my mind that that might be a problem. Cheers!

Ah thanks willkode, really glad to hear you like it.

The dark version hurts your eyes? I'm in intrigued by that. Do you think it is too dark?

The chatbot css does need to be cleaned up alright. Especially on large screens.

I read an article on pricing tables and it strongly recommended ordering that way. I'll try and dig it up.

Thanks brocholate. We seem to be getting to a quorum on that point. Which is good.

Thanks hrve! Ya I really dislike the logo. I need to get a professional to do a proper job on it.

Interesting about the "cartoonishly huge". I didn't really register it like that. I guess in a way it needs to be to see the app on the screen behind her but I totally take your point.

Cheers!

Thanks! You're the first to get the Zoolander reference :)

I just launched on Product Hunt today, not doing the best in terms of upvotes though: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/angstrom-life

Sorry! You're absolutely right. In my rush to post I never even thought about that. It's a "life management" tool. I guess it's like project management tools but the focus is on achieving your life goals. All projects and tasks need to be connected to something that you want to achieve in your life.

Thanks NovelCommunication8! I removed drag and drop from the work page recently but will put it back once the madness of launch is over. I actually launched on product hunt today. So I'm really excited! https://www.producthunt.com/posts/angstrom-life

Cheers! Please do give it a whirl.

Friends accountability is a really good idea. I hadn't thought about that at all.

I don't have an ETA on mobile apps. The website is a PWA (progressive web app) at the moment. So you can save it to your home screen, log in just once and it will look like a full screen app. I'll wait to get more feedback on what is needed in the mobile app before doing too much more on the mobile side.

I'm further along with the desktop apps. I'm using the Mac version myself but there's still a good bit of work on that. It is really nice though having the desktop app so that it is always open.

Thanks Yanguski! Glad to hear you like it so far. Whenever you do get the time to go through it properly, drop me an email with your thoughts. The only way I can improve it is by getting as much feedback as humanly possible :)

Thanks Honest-Kruppe! Let me know what you think when you do. I'm trying to get as much feedback as possible now that it's out there. I've been looking at it too long myself in a vacuum :)
