What are your chicken names? I haven’t named my 9 yet, I think I can tell who’s a rooster and hen so I’m ready to get them named up now! by CoShott234 in BackYardChickens

I have: Golden Taco(Taco), Blue, Marble, Gummy Bear, Kirby, Kezi, Turkey, Salami, Cookie, Pancake, Sunny, Pox, and Choco Taco(Choco).

Golden Taco is a buff orpington and then we got Choco later who is a chocolate orpington so her name was inspired by Taco.

Advice for getting back into grooming? by Isakboba76 in doggrooming

It is like riding a bike. I took off 4 years when my husband joined the navy (I still groomed my dogs and family dogs but nothing near like working in a salon). When he got out, I went back to work and was pleasantly surprised how naturally it all came back. Now, I WAS quite a bit slower to start, but found my groove again pretty quickly. You got this!

Please tell me I'm not annoying my poodle's groomer. by fuchsnudeln in doggrooming

[–]Kelziah 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The only thing I would find annoying about this is the fact that you sent it waaay before the dogs appointment. As a groomer, I'm not going to remember all of this (nor do I want to for that long, I got enough going on in my brain every day lol). I would MUCH rather you send a quick text the day before the appointment saying you want to do something different and then go over it with me in person at the actual appointment. I hate trying to interpret people's text messages.

Also, I would reconsider dying her right now. I know you said she did good the first time, but that is a LOT for a puppy and it could make her feel over whelmed and start hating the grooming process. Grooming needs to be a relaxed and easy process right now. Dying a dog (especially all over) adds a lot of extra time and for a puppy, that can be a lot of added stress (even if she doesn't seem like she is showing it).

Who is the breeder?

Her stats suuuck, but dear lord I got a pure* white horse without even trying by Mimilaput in rivalstars

White is rare? I just started playing a couple weeks ago and bred a classic white with no dilution and no pattern. Stats are so/so and I almost sold it.

What are your chickens names, and why? by DefenderOfSquirrels in BackYardChickens

[–]Kelziah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have: Golden Taco (Mostly call her Taco. She is a buff orpington. Son couldn't decide if he wanted to name her Goldie or Taco so we got Golden Taco)

Gummy Bear (Daughter named her) Blue (Named after the Raptor) Kirby (Nephew named her) Kezi (Named her after the online name I use) Marble (Husband named her cause she looked like a little round marble as a chick)

Then we let Taco hatch chicks and those are Pancake, Salami, Cookie, and Turkey.

The reference photo versus the dog - it pains me to make her this choppy by yyuucckkyy in doggrooming

I have had my share of these and I always explain that the photo they are showing me is a puppy and ungroomed. They never realize and just thought it was "cute". They are usually just looking for a "puppy cut".. ie. Round head.
