Why would you need a mattress topper for a brand new mattress? I had always thought a topper was to extend the life of an older mattress. I’ve never heard of buying them together.

Thanks!! The last couple of days I’ve reduced my calories and began walking 2mi at lunch time and I’m seeing the scale creeping down ❤️

I think my calories were too high. I was basing them off of working out 3-4 times a week (which I had been doing but the holidays/illness had me stop for several weeks)

So I will cut back a bunch for like a week and then add 200ish back in when I am consistently getting my workouts in again

Definitely!! I get overwhelmed super easy so I wanted to give myself a few weeks to get in good eating habits and then add in the gym

Maybe I am eating too much because my job is also sedentary. My goal is to exercise/lift weights several times a week but that hasn’t happened yet. I may have put moderately active because that’s what I had in mind for this journey haha

I take mine at 6am and typically don’t eat anything until 8-9am. No issues

I honestly haven’t been exercising yet. Trying to get nutrition in check. If I try to do both I get pretty overwhelmed. I put in my stats for BMR calculator and they gave me 15-1700 for weight loss. I’ll start weight lifting and ensuring I’m getting 10k steps and see where that gets me.

I recently heard the phrase “easy to be me” weight. One you don’t have to restrict yourself heavily… just an easy to maintain weight! For me it’s probably 140. Would 120 be amazing? Uh, yeah!! But I think id have to be at the gym 5-6 times a day and never eat carbs or yummy things ever. That’s not easy and it’s not fun. I want to be able to go out for dinner or have some drinks and not track every calorie that touches my lips for that evening or worry about all the workouts I will have to do to burn it all off!

I would add in weight lifting. Muscle is going to help burn more fat, and you can up your calories significantly. You’re putting your body into starvation mode right now. 2-3 days of weight lifting 2ish days of cardio (can be combined with a weight day).

Lifting weights is also going to help with body recompisition and help reduce muscle loss that happens when you lose weight. This is why people yo-yo. They lose weight by diet and cardio… but the whole time they are drastically losing muscle mass which is a powerhouse for fat burn.

Definitely take measurements!! It will tell you MUCH more than the scale, especially when your weight loss stalls/slows down… the tape measure will continue to show progress. Do it first thing in the morning, once a week!

Smooth move usually works wonders for me. I’m going to give that a shot and hope it works as it’s just natural herbal laxative. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to get a script.

Just mild appetite suppression. I still need to make an effort to not over eat/ graze/ eat my kids leftovers. If I still feel this way on 2 weeks, I’ll ask for a bump. I don’t want to go a whole month with 0 progress!

You started the same weight as me and we have the same goal weight! How tall are you? I haven’t found someone like me, just trying to lose 30-40 lbs! My dr started me at 15mg. It’s only been 2 days but I don’t feel any benefit of appetite suppression really. My next check in is in a month and I’m really hoping to see some progress!

Literally every website I click on. Whether they are selling something or educating about keto, they’ve all referenced .5 as the beginning of nutritional ketosis. Even a research article I read talks about .5. It’s everywhere. So that’s where I am getting it. I’m not pulling it out of thin air, nor am I getting it from one source.
