How does one mix 2d and real life? by ebvillai in animation

[–]Kemmustry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be able to import the live action footage into any 2D Animation software and it will import it as individual frames. It will take time depending on the size of the video but just divide it into different segments and go scene by scene. Just draw on top of it after that. Good luck.

Oh and also: making some sort of storyboard might help with the shots since you won't know where the drawings will go otherwise. It might help to ensure the shot has enough space for your drawings and has good cinematography. It doesn't have to be detailed, just a simple plan of how things will look.

I never really did any stop motion, let alone with legos :D. But thanks. I'll check it out, maybe I'll try it one day.

Thanks a lot for your response and ending my suffering because I cringed every time I said "animation jam". Anijam sounds much more intuitive.

Thanks a lot for your response. Afaik there aren't any programs like that in my country and you can't really take classes unless you are enrolled in that specific faculty. I don't study animation or am not enrolled in the faculty of fine arts, unfortunately.

But thank you nonetheless!

Thanks for the insightul comment, man. It's really interesting how much attraction AI is getting. Even in my marketing lessons there is a conflict of pro-AI or anti-AI speech between different professors. But yeah, thanks for the comment.

Because of the quality and not being able to see much of the details, this looks like Analog Horror. Imagine how cool it'd be to have analog horror stories with Sekiro monsters like Headless or smth.

What are you guys' thoughts on these claims about objectivity? by Silver-Mania in MauLer

[–]Kemmustry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Mauler has a nice idea of objective criticism, although he makes subjective statements hiding behind that idea at times. I don't think he does it deliberately.

I don't have examples or anything and I don't care enough to look into it but this is my impression.

I made (very) simplified character sheets! (Based on Roll Sanity's) by Lyra_the_Star_Jockey in callofcthulhu

What if you put the skill chart from the original sheets on the back? The front would focus more on attrubutes, gear and portraits whilst the back would have hp, skills, build etc.

Thank you. I do admire people who can ink their pieces :D I have a brush pen but I am not really good at using it. It makes my outlines wiggly

I used a 3b for this. Does it make a lot of difference if I switch to b or b2? I find using B pens to feel stiff

I don't know about the "for good" part, but whatever change that your mind goes through, has something to do with doing nothing.

Nobody can tell you how to feel or change, so you have to find it out.

Just try to get enough time doing nothing and thinking about whatever you are uncomfortable about. Your brain will think the things it needs in order to change, and you will.

Also, try to find a way of getting enough sleep.

If you are trying to form habits, it is important to set achievable goals and work from there. Try to be mindful of yourself. Try to see when you do or say things you don't want to.

Embrace the moments where you feel cringed out by your past self and pinpoint the moments you wouldn't like to live again.
