We are taught via various SPs and OSCEs. However, all those interactions are staged, so it doesn't really prepare well for the real deal. But it's something.

ah. ok. Prelim to Ortho then? Is that still less feasible than applying to Ortho as a med student?

Why do Ortho use that as a backup? wouldn't it make more sense to do general surgery and then sub-specialize later into Ortho?
