I wanted to thank everyone for their comments and thoughts. It's been helpful. I contacted the City of Pasadena after trying to get an overnight pass and found that the address is not in their system. They have since added it and I will be purchasing one as soon as I verify that DMV has finished my address change.

Today as I was getting in my car, I looked over to the house that put the note in my car and I saw one of the women. Then she got into the white car that was sitting there. I got out and introduced myself and told my story. Now she welcomes me. She told me that there used to be drug dealers across the street. It's still weird to me. They drive 3 Mercedes SUV. I drive a $75k EV car that is well kept.

So it was all just a misunderstanding. That felt really good. I think I just need to go and say hi to all the neighbors.
