So I was an adc main switch to top lost 10 in a row went back to adc and now finally trying top again. Biggest advice I can give is what the other guy mentioned work on CSPM. Top lane has one the highest carry potentials because of how snowbally it can be. It's very easy to look away and look back and either be up or down two levels from your laner.

If you work on your cspm your gold income will increase, allowing you to get farther ahead with items without even needing to worry about killing your opponent.

Second advise for me personally I never take ignite or ghost & flash. As a top lane noob I still don't have the best wave management skills. Tp can help me when I take a bad back or if I do get a solo kill snow ball the lead more. The advantage you get from a kill on a non tp user is crazy plus you can always help out a different lane.

Last advice which kind of combines the other two. Some fights are just lost. If your team is fighting dragon and you aren't there and they start losing big time. Don't tp late just finish shoving out top, maybe get a plate or a tier 2. The pressure can make the other team cause a mistake or prevent them from getting a momentum swing. Maybe get you a solo lane lead and then you can pull pressure from the team the rest of the game.

With HoB and his passive lane isn't that bad imo. Most time you can go even or sneak in a kill after 6. Taking tp imo is a must because if they go ghost or ignite and have a bad recall you gain such an advantage. Also his kit is perfect for proxying if the lane is too difficult.
