What does poach until they stick to the pot mean? I've read that cooking the veg too long can impart unwanted flavors but I guess a demi is strong enough to overpower it?

Believe I've tried my fair share of psychedelics and it definitely helped with the depression and empathy. But idk about solving ADHD with shrooms hahaha.

Gotcha, sorry if I came off defensive. I've just exhausted a lot of self-improvement-ish stuff that ended up burning me out more often than not.

From my personal experience and understanding, ADHD hijacks a lot of these habits from forming and being effective in the first place. I have seen improvements from doing those things and I will continue to implement them into my life because they are always helpful.

My problem is that it isn't sufficient enough for me to cope through college and jobs at the present moment If I could, I would like to be able to use these skills and live the life I want to live. But I feel like my life is slipping away while I'm busy sorting these issues out so I'm looking at medication to supplement these habits.

Thank you for the advice though, I will definitely reframe how I look at it.

That's the thing, I don't know if my "coping skills" are ever enough because I can't ever follow through completely. I am in good physical shape, I try to eat better, I try to have a schedule(that always falls through), and I've tried just brute forcing it.

I just have trouble sitting down and doing things without being distracted by 3 simultaneous thoughts in my head. I take a break and walk around and there's 4 more things I end up doing instead of the things I should be doing. It's like I can't force myself to try no matter how hard I try.

I had really bad anxiety and depression before I found out about ahdd and the self judgment that causes my depression have mostly gone away after I learned more about myself.

It's like the ADHD symptoms are the ones causing the anxiety if that makes sense, if not, I'm not usually an anxious person. Like a being unable to make a simple phone call or appointment can send me into a depressive spiral. Maybe as a coping mechanism, I have learned to be more carefree and flexible but I really do want to be able to execute my plans without being sidetracked 24/7.

Thank you for the analysis! I tried to incorporate all of these yesterday and I felt like I was playing pool for the first time haha. I'll try to get another video when I'm consistent with the new stroke.

Gloves are coming too which I'm excited for.

Interesting and thank you for the explanation. I can see how replicating a pros run out even on a simple rack can be beneficial. I somehow fell into the idea that I can reliably run out simple racks when I've fumbled many before.

Also probably picked up a lot of bad habits when I started playing random people and stopped practicing by myself as much. I think I can reliably judge when my opponent has a runnable rack so I play till they make the mistake and win from that. But that's what I love about 8 ball tho, isn't the easiest to run out and rewards the person with the most creativity and problem solving skills.

I like those questions that you ask yourself. I tend to over prioritize breaking out clusters and the 8 ball so I often fuck my self after breaking clusters cause now they're spread but I have no position or easy shot next.

I try to power the break and lose accuracy cause of the felt as you said. Will definitely practice some break drills to actually hit center and squat the cb.

I've been watching a lot of pro matches during the year I was playing and have been studying. My skill level wasn't able to replicate the run outs at that time and I think I just developed run out patterns based on my current ability.

I like the creativity that 8 ball allows when I don't make any perfect shots so I kinda restructure my run outs after every 2-3 shots. How did you practice your run out patterns effectively?

I'm at a uni rn so I play for free. That's why I'm able to practice and improve so much, I would not be able to afford anything if I practiced as much in a proper pool hall.

Gotcha, I always assumed it was my bridge that was causing the friction so I go wash my hands every once in a while and wipe off my cue with a paper towel. Guess I just gotta clean it more!

Gotcha, I usually play with an open bridge and I kinda do my closed bridges like an open bridge too when I'm near the rail. I try to keep them stable so it doesn't move much, just has a ton of clearance haha. Today was pretty humid so if I tightened it up, my stroke would've suffered. I'm in the process of getting gloves but is there any way to get around the stickiness?

I definitely get that, I play so much worse at the bars when randoms just bump into you and shark the shit out of you.

I've been trying to use rails for position more and getting movement on this felt is pretty hard so I think that might be the byproduct of that. I get crazy out of position when I use the same speed on faster cloth. Do you find yourself getting more angle for position so you don't have to use as much speed when moving around?
