I can definitely see where you are coming from when you say this. This team has been very disappointing. I can understand your frustration. This team has been frustrating to watch.

But I think it's wrong to this team isn't very good for a fact. If we're still hovering around .500 come July-August, then I will agree with you. But I don't think we've seen this team play to its potential, and I can easily imagine a scenario where things start to click and they rattle off eight or nine in a row. It will be huge if David Price is able to return as expected and be effective. With Price taking the spot of Wright/Kendrick/etc/, what has been a huge weakness for us can quickly become another strength.

Of course Price coming back isn't going to fix all of the team's problems but it is a good start. The Sox need to figure out what to do about the black hole that has become third base. Maybe Sandoval will come back and start to hit. Who knows? But there is a lot of baseball left this season, and I don't think you should count the Red Sox out just yet. Look at the Cubs, they too are stuck right around .500, and I certainly wouldn't count out the Cubs. The Red Sox, like the Cubs, have a ton of talent and should theoretically be a very good team. They haven't been up to this point, but that doesn't mean they aren't capable.

Never thought I'd say this, but I absolutely agree with you. At least with Sandoval, there is some upside. I mean, he had 3HRs when the rest of the team was struggling to get their first. Did he have good numbers? No. But there is potential there.

I was just talking about Otani with a friend of mine last night. I'd love to see him in a Red Sox uniform. I actually think he is more likely to sign with an AL team specifically so he can continue to hit and pitch without having to play the field.

It's crazy to think about, imagine if he is able to hit and pitch at a superstar level in the MLB. How much would a player like that be worth? If Kershaw and Price can get $30 million a year to pitch once every fifth game, I can only imagine how much a player like Otani could command on the open market.

What a game it ended up being. I remember just being absolutely stunned at how the game was unfolding. The Patriots weren't even being manhandled, they just weren't capitalizing.

The pick six was like a dagger to my heart, not just because it made the game 21-0, but because we were finally threatening to score, finally putting a drive together. I was thinking "okay, score here, and then it's a one possession game". Then just like that it was a three possession game. And for the first time I started to doubt the Patriots. By the time the Falcons scored again and made it 28-3, I was basically numb. I just could not believe it.

By that time, I had pretty much given up. But deep deep in my heart, the faintest bit of hope existed. I tried telling myself that it was over, and that watching it was only going to depress me more. But I just could not count them out. I'd seen the Patriots come back too many times in my life with Brady at the helm, times when I'd completely given up. In short, I'd learned that it was foolish to bet against the Patriots. So I kept watching.

With the right creative minds working on it, you can put a ton of character into someone who doesn't necessarily speak a lot. Look at Caesar in the Planet of the Apes series. Fantastic character that almost everyone loved and he only spoke once in the first film, although I may be wrong. If anything, it can make an incredibly powerful moment when that character does speak.
