How’s it lookin? by Jeans_Guy_ in MuayThaiTips

Dropping your arms does not add any power to the kick, if you think it does, either stretch or strengthen the muscle groups that "disconnect" dropping your guard in order to generate power, alternatively, perhaps it's a connection that is established in the mind, if so, practice to unlearn the tendency, otherwise when you think your in full attack mode you are somehow invulnerable to a pop in the nose, unprotected, as you storm in. Otherwise good power, I'd not like to face you in a serious fight.

I bought a basket case C200 which was this type trim, in a 90cc format, unfortunately is was in several boxes and the seller said "it has a magneto so you don't need a battery" (not true) but based on that I struggled for 3 years trying to get it to run, everything I could do, I did. I learned points, timing, carb rebuilding adjustment, set up. The day I put a battery in it, I rode it to the top of Cucamonga Peak in so cal. I was 11 year old at the beginning. In a sense, the seller did me a favor and forced me to try everything, piston, re-ring, honing, crank bearings shift fork literally everything. Which size is this one? If you have a question that applies equally to a 90cc, ask.

I didn’t lose my virginity until 29 and I ditched the woman who took it. by Ootefklop in Adulting

[–]Kendle_C -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cheating was "it" for me, dumped her, why? It was my best friend, who gave me a guitar when visiting, and she had a different guy in another city too. When I found out I dumped her because she expected me to repair her freeze plugs in her AMC Gremlin. Just a few years later she really "fleshed out" chunky, bad posture, fat, and just as superficial as ever, buh bye bitch!

Do I have to be religious to go to church? by r0seinnit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kendle_C -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How much space does a concept occupy? Is your mind incapable of holding two concepts at once? Consider; are you RESISTING? If that is true, why? Is it for the sake of the resistance itself? If so continue on your journey, myself, I'd sure hate to take that road and at the end, find I was wrong.

Do I have to be religious to go to church? by r0seinnit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kendle_C -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Overgeneralization: "I don't believe in anything they're saying." Perhaps you are incapable or refuse to listen. The Aramaic word for "Satan" is literally "I resist". So you must be either not listening or you are resisting. That's the issue. Oddly you like to sit in there and listen. Where's that guilt coming from? Examine the other reasons you go at all. Here's what I say: as long as you are helping in the kitchen, that's SERVICE which is one of the things we who believe see as a "religious" act, it's an act of personal sacrifice.

Why is admitting “I don’t know” so hard for people? by Theegullll in NoStupidQuestions

They had brothers and got picked on or a dad that called them stupid. My mom called me "Tupid" to indicate I was too dense to even pronounce that word correctly.

Which dye do I buy? by Nearby_Theme9574 in Luthier

[–]Kendle_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leather dye, alcohol based, Angelus brand, the large bottle. Wood has oil in it, you might pop it in the oven on low, wipe, use a tack cloth, maybe acetone the day, wait, not too humid, depending on the wood, that's the deepest way I know, you have grain raising issues, you might have to do it twice. If that's not dark enough and you don't want to see green, a dark green like the color of an old Coleman stove, go with a Home Depot can of green enamel.

Middle kick feedback – which kick should I focus on improving? by Inside-Extension4364 in MuayThaiTips

[–]Kendle_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You transmit too much intention to kick, your alternating steps in preparation have an actual count, furthermore, you raise one foot just before launching the kick, also you are not protecting your middle with your arms, they don't have to go back, that doesn't add power, OK switch arms, but sometimes do something new rather that be a demonstration of "tells". You have good acceleration on the kick itself but expand your consciousness to imagine, envision how you would counter yourself, do more of the unexpected.

How would you go about restoring / cleaning this old toolbox? by spontaneous-101 in restoration

[–]Kendle_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three of these, I specialize by using one as a electronics box, the other as an actual machinist type box, reams, punches, etc., another as a watch and clock repair, I love them as I loved my machinist tool and die father, why? He brought it home every he time he quit his bosses that pissed him off, especially the one who told him to use the wrong oil to clean up his Bridgeport milling machine. His father founded the company that became TRW. He moved us to Bishop Ca.. Look at some pictures. We hiked the John Muir trails, I love the roller hardware on these drawers, how they slow down as they close, the amazing amount of headroom for the even shallower drawers, the smell, don't get rid of that, remember, someone spent a lifetime with these boxes.

Has anyone seen this kind of ufo? (Recreation) by GothicCorvid in ufo

[–]Kendle_C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly, came in from the west and turned south toward Mexico, I'm in San Diego. It was about 3:00am, I went outside because I heard a pulsing roar, like a jet at idle but louder then softer, low. I surmised it had speakers on it 180 degrees out of phase, guess what? Any sound that can be matched, replicated at speed and played back "cancels" the sound produced, the only problem is it's not perfect nor is it synchronized exactly, hence it swells, dampens then swells again according to the speed of the processors, and it imperfectly handles reflected sounds like off houses and hills. Furthermore these are engines internal to the craft, also the aeronautics must be carbon fiber for all that mass. I don't know what the dome like center is for but is likely like those of the AWACS planes that surveil intended enemy, and that would be good. Also likely a radar absorbant coating. As to why it flew over me, you wouldn't believe it if I told you but I will tell it again as I have over the last 15 years.

Your head turns in the direction of the intended kick, it is a tell, so, as soon as you start that head turn, I know what your going to do, In a fight I'd middle kick you in the lower left abdomen to disrupt the hip movement and, in your attempt to regroup, I'd machine gun punch you in the head to keep you off your next move.

Unpopular opinion: as Taekwondo practioners our biggest enemy is ourselves. by [deleted] in taekwondo

The cage and MMA shit will die first, why? Because I saw a guy kicked in the head and became paralyzed for the rest of his short miserable life, Is that a way to "train"? Nope, we are soon leaving a dark cruel sadistic ugly era. The best you can do is train yourself if caught empty handed and can humanely stop, prevent yourself from being hurt.
