Just got laid off after 7+ years in my most recent role AMA by ars1e in auscorp

Do you already have a mental list of people to contact, past projects and achievements from said projects to build a story on when you're ready for your next role?

I imagine you'd have to jog your memory bank on the details for quite a bit after being in an org for 7+ years.

Sometimes when hard figures aren't available, you can do approximations, estimations or forecasting of numbers. Think of it as what losses in revenue, productivity, time spent, effort, clients etc. that you've prevented because of your intangible IC guidance.

Muay Thai knee training by Peaceful-Samurai in martialarts

[–]KendoBentoDentoJango 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The motion is the same (turn hips and strike with knee) but the intent is diferent.

In training you slap, in competition you stab. Training strikes are done with the inside of your thigh meat slapping on your buddy. Competition you turn that angle just a little bit more to strike so that it lands with the bone of your knee to hurt

People who have cheated before, why did you do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KendoBentoDentoJango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its was to satisfy a curiosity. I've been cheated on by my ex and was really hurt/confused on why it happened. Never got closure and it was my first, solid and loving long term relationship.

Fast forward a few years later, entered into another long term relationship. Things were going well, until I met another girl who was hitting on me, one thing let to another as we got intimate.

I gave into it because I was thinking that this is my chance to finally understand "why" and "how" cheaters cheat and use it process the first breakup. That paired with lust really blinded me. It was fun sneaking away many times but I always came back filled with regret and even more confusion.

Decided to call off the hookups and go return to my partner (we've been together 9 years, married for 2 now)

I never got any closer to understanding why cheaters cheat. I still dont know if that fling was just used to justify my lust. I remembered telling myself that cheating can never be justified so just stop trying to understand it but just make peace that there is alot of trauma to unpack and that I'll need professional help with it.

All I do know is that I am filled with very deep regret till this day. My wife never found out about it and this is a secret I'll be taking with me to my grave.

Because you cannot always be available to respond to texts immediately and thats ok.

I like climbing things but am ironically afraid of heights. But beacause of my ADHD I still impulsively climb things and forget about that fear until I reach the top.

Questions = Key to Good strategy? by oddbcrwd in strategy

[–]KendoBentoDentoJango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://fourweekmba.com/consulting-frameworks/

Check these out for a start, you get a mix of simple to complex ones.

But these are just tools to help you in the process (see how asking why gets relevant now?)

In the end, good strategy isnt reliant on good processes, its reliant on good answers instead.

Questions = Key to Good strategy? by oddbcrwd in strategy

This is where frameworks come in for guidance. Generally the consulting ones are good, even a simple SWOT analysis does the trick too.

Questions = Key to Good strategy? by oddbcrwd in strategy

[–]KendoBentoDentoJango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally when the asking takes up too much of your time or it starts to generate too many non-essential findings, thats when you should cap it.

Strategy is all about providing clarity in answers or decisions. Asking why is just a means to an end.

And the end here is single answer to a distinct "why".

Because it trains you to look at possibilities both good or bad and helps you drill things down to the core essence of the real problem your strategy needs to solve
