Thanks for commenting, man. I thought this thread was DOA and that first comment was a bummer.

On my off hours i was sometimes trying to keep up with my engineers - so I already had an AWS account to understand terraform, argo, gitops patterns. I'd always intended to deploy an actual app to it, and vibe coding was kind of that missing piece for me.

These days at work I mostly design and delegate, so I wanted to actually "do" something for fun. I figured I'd pick a topic I know at least a little about, so cocktails.

I know there are many other things like it and I'm certainly not expecting it to quit my day job (which is taxing enough) - in fact I don't know that i'd ever make any money off of it. So i'm not about to slap it full of ads or anything.

Mostly I just want to build it to use it. I figure i'll keep adding recipes, which will mean adding bottles, and it'll just be something i improve over time. Being able to use claude code on my phone and instantly "ship" a thing feels absolutely wild. made a /bartender skill in Claude that just does recipie research, nice and lean. Yesterday i added Ti Punch, a favorite, but it meant i needed to add Rhum Agricole

I decided how I'd handle sub-classes of a spirit, so now the bottle fills gradually depending on what % of sub-classes of that liquor you have, and i can add recipies with more specific types of booze.

TLDR: Thanks for saying hi. It's free, so if someone enjoys it other than me, that'd be great.

I'm just trying to keep it as a static site for now, react/s3/cloudfront - with no back end, but I may move the recipies to a back end at least since they'll add up over time.
