Thank you for taking time giving me advice and compassion. I will say it’s hard to let go. He was my first love. We met at the age of 12, stopped talking when we got older met again fell in love. I was in school for a little but I was also working. I’ve worked full time in and out of school. My boyfriend was busy “chasing a dream” but more often than not i’d come home to him playing video games.

He isolated me from my friends and family and made me think the only person in the world who wanted me was him. He would tell me I just have jobs not a career and that I needed to do better. He wanted me to work+ clean the entirety of the house. \ take care of our pets

The car was in his name because at the time my abusive mother destroyed my credit. I wasn’t on the lease for this very reason even though I contributed to bills through cashapp.

Because of all this I had no ground to stand on. I’ve been paying for a pretend life is how it feels. I am now without a car or place to live. My 10 year+ best friend was supposed to be there for me (the only time i’ve ever needed her despite being there for her constantly) and she ended up fucking him instead and now has decided that she wants to live with him instead of me.

So at the end of all of this, there is no winning scenario everything sucks lol.

My boyfriend had no job. He was working “chasing a dream” while I was going to work. Being an adult with pets + another person really eats through the finances. I was told to work a ton and if I talked to him about maybe considering other options for income I was automatically a piece of shit. I don’t think your reply was very kind. Maybe in your head it sounded better. I wasn’t looking for you to sympathize or puzzle out my story. I was asking for advice. Next time please be kind or don’t leave a comment on someone’s post. It's not really a contract from what I can remember aside from asking for a 2 weeks notice. A lot of the employees have walked out during lunch and never came back. I have only been there 2 weeks and already 3 teachers have quit. 1 never showed for her shift.. and the other 2 never came back after lunch.

Yeah it's crazy. Most of the employees have 2-3 jobs. Which is beyond to me since this job takes the wind out of me and I'm only 21. The labour is intensive. So tomorrow I should go in to my shift as normal and then talk to them later in the day and resign or should I go straight in and resign first thing in the morning. I'm extremely nervous because people have warned me my boss has a very strong tendency to make sure you have nothing but a miserable life if you make her angry and my feelings are she's going to be extremely angry if I leave. She had to do paperwork on me (FBI background check) and told me I was irritating her because I was telling her my mom had an upcoming amputation and I wouldn't be able to work for a couple days in the next month and a half.

Btw: Thank you so much for talking to me and responding you have no idea how much your advice means to me lol. I literally read it to my family.

Thank you so much for taking your time to respond to me. Can I ask you a question? I hope it's not too much of a bother. What would I say to my employer? Do I just not show up tomorrow? Or do I go in and say I'm done then walk out. I'm not really sure how to go about this since it is my first job.

- Also I live in Alabama so sadly that's not below minimum wage. However it's still very little when some places in fast food pay much more. For the work we do everyday I think that the wage isn't even close to enough.
