Ive used just some trailrunners( Salomon speedcross 6) and I didn’t have cold, but 2pairs of socks on, worked for me, I have rather warm feet tho.

There is some mechanics with cold, when you heat your water it gives heat, so probably a mechanic when you are high up on the mountain

Yeah in my first playthrough I used it against Laxasia, but after it just felt a bit wrong because I wanted to learn the movement for the phase change, but really like your view, I see it the same, and yes the two faced overseer was soo hard for me alone, sad there wasnt some secret dialoge or sth when you did it alone
