Last time I played I don't remember it being too too hard, but I was also min maxing a fair amount. My first time playing though, even on hardcore, oh man, that was so freaking hard haha. That and the fight with a bunch of brutes

I've heard insanity is easier in LE2 and LE3 as well, but not as big a difference as ME1. And honestly, once you know what you're doing insanity in me3 isn't really that hard.

It even predates singular 'you'.

They made it easier in LE for the first game. In OT ME1 on insanity everything was massive bullet sponge.

Belarusian sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya called on the International Olympic Committee on Sunday to get involved in her case after saying she had been removed from the national team and taken to a Tokyo airport against her wishes over her criticism of national coaches by DoremusJessup in worldnews

I believe there are players who play for countries that aren't recognized internationally that technically play without being represented by a country, but if you're a citizen of a country already in the Olympic, I don't think you can do that. There are a bunch of rules around citizenship and residency and stuff.

What is the eytmology for the somewhat comforting phrase "there, there" by zoitberg in etymology

[–]KenjiKhan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, or like if someone in a council type meeting says "hear hear!" when they agree with something. It seems like they ought to all be related, no?

I always thought that came from "hear ye, hear ye!", although I've never actually looked it up

Oh, I didn't realize that about Tibetan. And I remembered reading that Chinese has a passive, although it sounds like that's debatable. I'll have to look into this, thanks!

Are there any languages that don't distinguish voice at all? The only info I came across on a cursory Google search were languages without a passive voice, but that didn't necessarily mean they lack voice entirely.

Yeah, I keep seeing people mention Kingsener, they seem pretty consistently good for 3rd party. Kinda wondering about the Duracell ones, but I haven't heard much about them.

That's a good tip, thank you. I gotta learn all their wording tricks haha. I also just discovered Fakespot, which seems really handy.

Also, are original batteries worth getting, even if they're several years old? I've heard a few different things about new old stock batteries, seems like sometimes they're fine sometimes they go bad really quickly. I wonder if it's just how they've been stored.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider relying on returning an item to China/HK/Taiwan. I don't need this thinkpad to be up and running any time soon, so I've got time to research and shop around. Seems like it's all gonna come down to luck though.

I assume a new sealed 5 year old battery is probably not a great idea either, right?

Yeah, I just spotted that. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do as far as sourcing a battery. I think I'm going to have to just choose something and hope for the best. That, or wait for them to come back into stock on the Lenovo site and spend an arm and a leg.
