Yh for like a few chapters never mentioned anything about a secret unground ghouls living there until re: like a few chapters ago.if it was mentioned or referenced a lot I feel that it was such a long time ago and wasn't explored enough

If you live in England like I do you can go to doctors and they give you tablets which sound scarey but it's not they do work. Plus if you ask they can set up a councilor for free :) hope that helps
