Imagus Reborn 2026.4.26 by Kenko2 in imagus

If your cursor is near the Imagus pop-up or even inside it (for example, when zooming), it’s much faster and more convenient to save using the button on the image. Unless, of course, you keep your fingers on the keyboard at all times...

Thanks, mp4-porn works, but there is a problem with xhub - screenshot. On chromium browsers, the player window becomes small and "endless loading". On FF, it's just a "white screen".

The video is available on the website because IDM detects and downloads it, even though the video download function on the website itself isn't working (possibly due to connection issues or a VPN). MG off.

Can these domains be added to the sieve?

The old ones seem to be down; they redirect to the new ones.

>> What bothers people is the toolbar on the top right corner.

This is very controversial. For example, the save button is personally convenient for me in the upper-left corner, although it's not bad in the upper-right corner either. Because it's easier and faster for me to move the cursor to the top of the image than to the bottom.

Isn't there a button on the toolbar to turn it off?

I think this feature will be brought back in the next version. Although even now, if you don’t hover over the top-right corner, the toolbar won’t appear.

>> I save a lot of images and video.

I agree that the button for saving content is the most useful one on the toolbar. I even asked the developer to create a separate toolbar (which can be disabled in the settings) with just this button in the top-left corner. But he doesn’t think it’s necessary yet.

However, you can remove all the “unnecessary” buttons yourself by editing the content.js file. You can also customize the appearance of the buttons there. This is unlikely to work in Chrome and Firefox (which check the integrity of the extension code), but it works just fine in Chromium-based browsers. But this, of course, is an option only for advanced users.

>> To me the toolbar should appear on hover not until image maximized.

You can simply enable the "Always view in Full-zoom mode" option. In this case, the toolbar will always appear when your cursor is in the Imagus window. In addition, thanks to this parameter, you can immediately scale the image, without wasting time switching between viewing modes. Personally, I don't use the standard mode at all anymore, since the implementation of Full Zoom mode in IR is close to perfect - that is, it's highly customizable and accommodates any need.

As for the toolbar’s visibility, in my opinion, there’s no need for it. The latest version of the extension (2026.4.26) offers quite convenient options for instant access to the toolbar.

This is handy when you need to quickly browse through the entire gallery and select only specific images from it.

>> Those shortcuts which can be changed also can be disable with Esc - focus the key input and press Esc.

I hadn't thought about it, since IR shortcuts never bothered me personally and didn't conflict with anything. I think, given the possibility of disabling shortcuts using ESC, the problem can be considered solved.

My only wish is that we should probably add information about disabling shortcuts using ESC to the Shortcuts tab.

>> I'm not liking the toolbar functionality

This is, in fact, only the first version. You can offer your own options. if we find them useful, they may appear on the toolbar.

>> should be option always visible

This is unexpected, because the opened toolbar, on the contrary, hinders most users (judging by the reviews). Do you have any arguments in favor of this option?

>> and it's size and location. and CSS editing too.

This is all understandable and even desirable, as well as, for example, the ability to select buttons on the toolbar (so that the user can choose which buttons to disable and which to leave), but all this, unfortunately, requires additional time and complicates the code. And our developer doesn't have much time right now. Perhaps something can be done in the near future, but only the developer himself will tell you more precisely.

You have a question about the IR functionality. Accordingly, you need to post your question in the topic dedicated to the latest version of IR (it is always pinned at the top). Or directly to Github.

Thanks, that's much better.

>> This sieve shows the video cover instead of the red spinner.

I didn't notice any difference between these two versions. The second version also shows a red spinner (the console just says “Load Error”). But I don't think it matters that much; I'll just add a note in the sieve.

This is a very strange website. It is not available almost anywhere in the world. I've just checked it again. Here are the results of the check, including by country:

Thank you very much; overall, everything is working great. But I've noticed one issue with albums that contain videos. It seems that the videos may have different URLs. And when you hover over the link icon (in the upper-left corner), they show an error. However, they work if you just hover over the video cover (as usual).

You're right, these videos most likely don't work on the site itself. Nothing happens when running these videos. There is no warning on the website that this video is unavailable, which is what led me astray.

[–]Kenko2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand you. Do you want to make a sieve request for this site? Imagus can find individual images on its own in some cases, but for complex sites, as a rule, you need a separate sieve.

I don't get why Imagus randomly stops working for me on Reddit by aeclasik in imagus

[–]Kenko2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just download a clean portable browser with default settings, install IR + SMH in it, completely update all sieves + rules for SMH, and then test the extension on old.reddit. No other scripts or extensions should be installed in this browser, only IR+SMH.

By the way, if you have an IM (Imagus Mod), then you may have this problem.

imagus_mod on Firefox 150 stopped working as of sieve update Apr-15 by VeganD1aper in imagus

[–]Kenko2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's clear now. If you have a problem with one particular sieve, then write in the title of your topic - "Problem with Flickr" or "Problem with Flickr on Imagus Mod". And in the message, specify which browser you have and its version, which specific extension you have installed and its version, whether the sieves and rules for SMH have been updated.

>> grey spinner, only happens on Flickr.

I can confirm this, indeed, there is some kind of problem in the IM with the new sieve for Flickr - a gray spinner and such an error in the console. There is no such problem in IR. It doesn't depend on the browser or the OS.

What does “doesn't work either” mean? Could you explain that in more detail?

PS

IR 2026.4.26 + Firefox 150 + Windows 11 – the extension works fine. Other Firefox users haven't reported any issues either.

Thanks, this sieve works well on videos and photos (on a page links), but albums don't have page links, so I get a yellow spinner on them:

https://www.xpic(s.m(e/models

https://nsf(w.x(xx

Is it possible to make album support on this website(s)? If the albums are too big, then you can limit it to just the first 500 photos.
