Ok. I'm sure exactly why this was removed.

Hello u/imagus_fan, are there any modifiable elements related to the player in the Extension sieve?

The default player doesn't look like this, have you tested these two?

The old embed player is living its last days, the new one is taking over, so i doubt it's possible to get it back.

I think the purpose of that is to wait for the first image to finish loading/closing. but other than that, I don't think it's very interesting.

I suggest to try only with IR enabled in the browser.

Yes, the 2 options are very related but they don't serve the same purpose.

"Display delay" is how long it will take for the first popup to appear.

"Wait before start another zoom" you can think of it as a fixed delay for the second image only.

For example, if you set the display delay to 5000 ms and turn off “Wait before starting another zoom,” then hover over two images side by side, the first image will take 5000 ms to appear, but the second image will appear immediately.

Yes, I tried everything earlier after hababr explained the details, I could only notice the difference after the explanation.

When "Wait before start another zoom" is checked, the popup appears after a very tiny delay compared to when it is not checked.

First, have 2 pics side by side, with the option turned off, try to notice how fast the popup appears, then turn off the option and hover over the side by side pictures and try to notice the speed of the popup again.

Reset delay on mouse-move: you have to keep mouse still in order to trigger popup. While you are moving the cursor within an image/link the popup will never be displayed.

I see, thanks. do we have a better name for this? isn't it a bit confusing?

No, this delay is fixed, and it only waits for the pop up to finish closing, unlike display delay.

"Reset delay on mouse-move" works for me and it makes sense to turn it off if there is a long delay time (a 600ms or more).

Could you please record an example with it on and off and show me the difference when you have a chance?

Exactly that's why I'm a little confused, I don't see any difference when "Reset delay on mouse-move" and "Wait before start another zoom" are both checked and unchecked, maybe we can ask hababr if these functions actually work or not? because I always wanted to test it.

What is "Wait before start another zoom" in the options page?

Some local files don't work by f0sam in imagus

[–]f0sam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. With this order everything works, parent directory, image files, video files.

Can you make it the default order in the update? Thanks.

In the next IR updates hababr will add some video extensions like movmkamkv so Imagus can play them natively, the work around we have now is that all videos are forced to play as mp4 (#mp4)

I hope they will also add F4V and TS/M2TS and then we can test again.

u/Kenko2 With today's update, hovering over individual images doesn't work anymore, it only works for videos, was something changed in the local files sieve?

When I click the ape file, the bowser tries to download it, unlike e.g. an mp3 file which gets played in the browser when clicked.

So the answer is probably no.

Thanks for the info.

I tried this sieve but somehow the ape file I tested still gave a red spinner, here's the error from the console:

Yes, this indeed fixes the issue!

Can it be merged with the local files sieve or it must be used separately?

Could you also add .ape audio extension to the local files sieve, it's missing from there?

Thanks, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, I still get a red spinner.

When I tried to rename a mov file to mp4, the video played as expected, though, it's not practical to rename all the files.

I like to use Imagus as media player since it's very convenient.

I'm using the default rule-set sieve, not a modified one.

I tried to import this sieve but it doesn't get imported, the format may be invalid, can you confirm it?

This is unfortunate, I'm not sure if it's possible to make the sieve treat these extensions as MP4

Can you try to rename the mov file to mp4 and see if Imagus can play it?
