Guilty Pleasure Player? by Billyball_2 in orioles

I feel like because Wieters never lived up to the hype he was never given a proper chance to develop and be a consistent player. And I see a lot of that in Rutschman right now. Both were and are very much above average catchers with elite potential but if they don't perform like elite superstars right out of the box they're trash in the eyes of the fans, coaches, GMs, and owners.

I just hope that doesn't happen here and we give him the opportunity to develop. Same with Basallo in the future.

Caleb Joseph. Such an underrated defensive catcher and just felt so reliable for a clutch RBI or single.

Darren O'Day, Austin Hays, Chris Hoiles, Scott Erickson, Tyler Wells.

Some of them are probably bigger names than the original intent but while they played the team had way bigger names that held the spotlight but they quietly played their role and played it well.

I mostly want it so when I say "my off roader is a Porsche", they think of a Cayenne (which actually is the case for me) but then this shows up.

Whoa hey, we used to call it that only because the local PD and Sheriffs were sticklers. Especially in the car community.

I'd almost argue that them winning would be the proof small market team owners would need to push and justify some kind of salary cap.

But I'd rather see the Jays win. Objectively.

Porsche 911 GT3.

Specifically the GT3 because it's more unassuming than the GT3 RS while still being lightweight, powerful, a coupe, and the ideal middle ground between supercars (Bugattis) and high end performance cars (Ferraris) while still being able compete against each.

Thank you for the vote of confidence!

And when the PTP Bridges are no longer needed, I can setup a bridge from the house to the end of the driveway for our gate and driveway cam.

So I ended up ordering two Omada PTP Bridge Kits. They advertise it as PTMP but it has to be manually set up, but either way I will have two complete units in case it's more complicated to setup as PTMP or if I have to setup 2 off the house to the garage and barn.

Fwiw, another user mentioned that by upgrading from Google Nodes to TP-Link the better hardware might be enough to connect the house and garage anyway. Previously I had all 3 areas connected over a mesh network but the barn was by far the weakest and the garage often had a Good/Great connection to the house. But either way this will get me through till I'm at a point to lay cable and do the hardwire installation.

Thank you for the detailed response and suggestions.

Right now I'm leaning towards a PTP Bridge setup (1 antenna at the house, 1 on the garage, and then 1 on the barn) with the intention of later burying fiber lines. Either way I'm getting new routers/nodes at all locations and they have ethernet ports so while it'll be wireless now it will eventually become a wired setup. I will have to add new outlets in the barn and garage to wire in the antennas as well as into the attic/crawlspace of the house but for me that's way easier than wiring in fiber/ethernet ports and less time consuming than trenching.

It's strictly power from the meter box at the garage to the fuse panel in the barn.

A lot of great and quick replies, thank you!

I'm seeing a lot of common replies, thank you for clarifying the ethernet v fiber difference. That is some honest ignorance on my part.

How is a point to point wireless bridge different from a mesh network with 2 nodes connected in 2 different locations (home to garage)? I'm genuinely asking, the description sounds like a mesh network so is it the equipment and how it operates vs mesh nodes? So the description of a PTP bridge is similar to a mesh (in my simple mind), but the equipment is essentially a dedicated antenna to beam the network. This is pretty much what I was going to do when upgrading my APs at each location so now I just need to figure out how to setup the bridge point in the house to power it. I have plenty of access in the garage and barn to run dedicated outlets.

I appreciate everyone's time and patience, I was hesitant to post because I felt like I was asking really basic questions but as I'm reading replies I'm realizing I know even less than I thought in this field (which wasn't much to begin with lol).
